House burned in 2016, was rebuilt with these Smoke Detectors throughout. One apparently went bad in 7 years, because EVERY TIME the wife cooked anything, that alarm sounded, setting off ALL OF THE REST! This one has not done that. All is well...

This model i12060A is a good replacement for older models, but research your old model to see if it’s compatible. It comes with plug adapters for various older models. Front load battery a plus.

Alarm needs better reset instructions.

Seem like decent quality. Easy install, had to do a slight modification, to my existing electrical plug, to make the pigtail fit. When tested, all of them worked in unison.

Adaptors made hard-wiring easier. I like the “hush” switch that can temporarily deactivate the alarm if a piece of burned toast sets it off.

I liked how this had adapters for different smoke detector connections. It was fairly simple to install, although the wires were a bit long for the adapters in the smoke detector I replaced. This also did not fit in the same base as my previous smoke detector, but it came with a base and it was an easy fix. It works well. We accidentally let the smoke from the oven go without the exhaust fan, and it was a loud and clear ring. It was easy to stop.
