Turned out to be very easy to replace old smoke alarm with this one. Front loading the 9v battery is a nice feature.

Relatively easy to install, communicates with other detectors on same circuit. Ambient light ring does not work, making it much more difficult to determine status on high ceiling mount. Manufacturer NJ has been nonresponsive to request for support

This smoke detector with battery backup are very clean looking and easy to install. I replaced existing older smoke detectors that were over ten years old and had no battery.

Adapter eliminates the need for expensive electrical rewiring. The base plate has to be replaced with the one that comes with the detector so that is a little tedious. Easy battery replacement compartment.

I used these to replace some old Firex Model AD units, 5 in total. Front load battery compartment is very handy. Including the adapters is very helpful, however the one I needed to use fit very tightly and pliers were needed to get a proper connection between the adapter and the existing house wiring. The connection between adapter and the detector itself was very easy.

Attachments cards will not fit up into the outlet has expected. Will need to hardwire the smoke alarm in place.

The batterty access is nice. The adapter for the wiring could have been done better. The extension makes neat installation hard fought item.

Quick and easy replacement for a faulty detector. Included with the unit or different pigtail adapters to match any other brands. In this case is an exact match. Took longer to unpack it than it did to install it.
