Worked out just fine !! Not as heavy duty as originals !!

Love the look of the oil bronze. Problem is the coating peeled off the strainer after only 4 months. For the money spent I would expect far better performance.

This drainer basket is very nice quality. I have purchased this strainer before as part of a drain for a sink. It is this item: KOHLER Duostrainer 4-1/2 in. Sink Strainer with Tailpiece in Polished ChromeModel # K-8801-CP The basket fits perfectly and works in our farmhouse sink. We also have a stainless sink by Kohler and the builder quality basket that came with it was no longer holding a sink full of water. I bought this basket as a replacement. However, it also does not hold water due to the design on the sink. There is a piece at the bottom of the strainer that fits into a rectangular hole in the drain. If you don't have this, it won't work. I decided to keep the strainer anyway since it is such nice quality. I ordered a flat sink stopper so I can fill sink with water.

Have to make sure the stink strainer is correctly place or water will drain out of sink.

they have gone out of there way to make the basket strainer cheaper. it is made with lighter weight stainless and does not seal right with the sink anymore. to bad so sad

The drain works the way I would expect a drain to work.

The strainer is well made. I highly recommend it versus the poorly made cheaper strainers I found at the store. You get what you pay for!

This is the original manuf. replacement for the Koehler Duo-strainer sink. So it fit and performed great.The "store" replacements are flimsy. You get what you pay for!

Not very happy with it. It does not seal any good. It leaks water about 90% of the time. How can I exchange it for a good one?

The Kohler aftermarket parts are as OK as you would expect being made by Kohler. Be aware that the chrome plating is not always a perfect color match to what you have in the rest of your sink.

Very solidly built strainer, one large problem the O ring gasket has a very short lifespan. We have replaced it 6 times (free parts from Kohler). Very poor design. Bought a cheap stainless strainer from Amazon with rubber stopper that works great. We have many Kohler products in our home but will not purchase another sink strainer.

Looks great and works perfectly. Like it better than the original which was not the polished strainer.

It matched my bronze faucet. It filters the ones you don't want to go straight to the drain and fits perfectly and is heavy and won't just move around.

The "O" ring came off --I called and I'm supposed to get a new "O" ring but it hasn't arrived yet

I purchased a brand new basket strainer because the existing one would not hold water long enough to do the dishes. I thought the rubber seal was worn and needed a replacement. The new one did not work any better. I don't know if this is a design problem or something wrong with the drain in the sink.
