I bought this a month ago and the finish started chipping off almost immediately.

I bought this for a new sink when I did my kitchen over less then six months ago and the black paint is cracking and missing from the lower half. Would like to warranty this item please.

Pleased with overall quality but small collar on which the stopper plunger shaft rests came loose from strainer body and is now free to spin. This makes engagement of plunger and stopper a two-handed operation

I bought this 6 months ago and about 4 months in the coating started to chipping off. We wanted to have something nice to match our sink and I honestly thought that buying a name brand would hold up better. Wife gets mad every time she washes dishes.

This will be the third time I am replacing this strainer since original mid 2019 purchase. The disk on the underside of the basket that connects to the plunger arm/knob keeps coming apart form the arm and unscrewing. This piece is fixed to the arm when I receive it, but after a few months of use ultimately comes loose and unscrews with use. Seems like the soldering is poorly done or can't uphold to the conditions it is used in. Once this happens, it then is difficult to position the plunger properly so that it can open/close the drain. I don't know what the design or craftsmanship flaw is, but it's extremely annoying. I have explained the issue each time I call Kohler to have it replaced, however noone can explain or offer any different item. Because it is fitted to the sink, it's the only option. Am I stuck reordering this strainer basket every few months for life??

Everything is metal except for the small part that holds the center plunger to the strainer. It pops out and it won't stay locked into place.

My first duostrainer basket lasted 6 years. Ordered a replacement in March and it broke in May. Reached out to customer service and they sent me a new one. It lasted less than a month. The problem is the ring that is supposed to be welded to the basket comes off making it difficult to choose to set it to open or closed. It seems like a decent product, has a nice weight to it but it doesn't last. 6 years for the first one, acceptable, but the last two point to an obvious flaw in the manufacturing process. I've given up.

Sadly, I too have flaking paint after only a few mths use. I contact Kohler's warranty department and it will be replaced. I thought I was purchased a quality product? The disposal flange paint also chipped after a few mths. Yes, they'll send me a new one put the installation is up to me. I hope I don't have the same quality problem as I did with the original one.

Fit perfectly with our kohler sink and drain. The family thinks it looks great and pretty.

Fit perfectly and is doing the job.

This one started out ok. A few months later it would leak occasionally. A year later it is leaking 80% of the time. Can't find a gasket for it as they want you to pay out another $50. This one is nice and heavy and stainless, but I can buy a cheap stainless $4 one over 10 times and I am thinking the gasket will never wear out. Kohler quality isn't what it used to be.

The strainer was an exact fit.

Our contractor installed this when the one we ordered that matched our sink was back ordered. He thought he was doing us a favor by giving us a "better" product. WRONG. I cannot wash any dishes in my sink because this strainer does not seal. Water drains out nearly every single time. I am so disappointed.

It works perfectly. We’ve never seen a strainer with this design. Easy to use and clean - so glad we bought it.

Sturdy, work well to hold water in the sink and catch all the debris.

Only bad thing was it was $42.00
