Tried cheaper strainers after my original ones broke after 12 years. Two sets of cheap strainers later I decided to pay the 35.00 a piece and buy them(I needed two). Well worth the money and the quality is just as good as the original set! Hope to get 12 years out of these!

I just bought this duo-strainer and it does NOT hold water! I am very disappointed in this expensive product. It was the first and last time I will buy a Kohler product.

Good quality with stainless steel version except the staking of the bushing is poor and will break loose after about 3 years. The original one lasted 10 years but the replacements will break after about 3 years.

Bought the Kohler 31/2" basket strainer to fit into a Kohler Ballard SS kitchen sink. Fits great, inside the recessed Insinkerator drain which allows unimpeded water & food debris to drain easily. Basket is heavily made, robust not a cheaply made thin knock off.

I just put this strainer and would not recommend it! It loosens too easily and my sink continues to be filled with water!

This not one of those flimsy sink strainers that you buy at a big box store. Although this strainer basket is well made, our last basket lasted only six years. Still, better quality than most.

I am having the same problems as many other customers with the strainer basket when reading their reviews!! I am now on my 2nd strainer basket in 3 years! Actually the first one came apart about a year after being installed and I fooled around with it re-screwing/tightening, even gorilla glueing it back together!! I finally got sick of fighting it and bought a new basket hoping that mine maybe just had a flaw..... Lo and behold same thing has happened after about 2 months use! Obviously poorly designed! Now what do I do, I don't think any other basket strainer would fit in drain!

The quality is not like the original doesn’t stay open when you want and when you want it to stop the water from going out it doesn’t stay in place either it’s flimsy and doesn’t hold the water it escapes easily.Very disappointed. But hard to find strainers in gold

I read a reveiw that a customer asked - What size the o-ring was on the strainer seal? A kohler rep answered wrong stating there wasn’t one and there plainly is a seal that appears to be an o-ring on the bottom sealing stopper. So the answer to anyone else asking, send a photo of the seal to kohler and then call and ask a KOHLER TECHNICIAN what size it is and possibly how to get one.

Bought after Hurricane Sandy when I needed to re-do my entire kitchen in 2013. Now on my 3rd or 4th basket replacement because the stopper keeps breaking. Not only that, but it doesn't sit right in the Kohler drain it complements so there's always an issue of a slow drain and it frequently dropping in and sealing the drain. I don't care for it at all.

I bought the whole kit to put drain in my new sink and the water leaks out. Plumber even told me he has problems with Kohler.

The problem is the ring that is supposed to be welded to the basket comes off making it difficult to choose to set it to open or closed. It seems like a decent product, has a nice weight to it but it doesn't last . The polished nickel finish has started to fade on the ring the basket sits in the sink. This really should not happen in a product installed less than a year. I expected so much more from Kohler..

Looking for replacement gasket. Bought 1105656 which is the right diameter but too thick. Need thinner one. Part number?

We bought this for our new black Kohler sink. So far it has proven to be very useful. Wish they had an option with black feet/bottom things so they wouldn’t stand out against the black sink. But overall we like

These fit perfectly into our sink! Do not buy those cheaper "cloned" basket strainers as they leak. The Kohler Basket Strainer is fantastic!

I tried several consumer grade baskets from hardware stores and home improvement stores. All failed.

Not sure why Kohler was unable to duplicate the original basket. This replacement does not transition from open to closed very easily

I am only going to rate this item as average until I've used it for a 6 month period. This item replaces a brand new identical strainer that fell apart after 2 months light usage. Kohler Customer Service refused to make good on a defective product.

After utilizing the drain plug for several month including an avid canning season, I’m greatly amused with its’ elegant looks and price. Go ahead buy the plug if you want to stand out with those who judge you by your sink plugs. This extravagant piece of manufactured metal and rubber will oddly satisfy you and then frustrate you as you search for the pieces in your refuse. Kohler, please connect the screw at the top of the stem with a permanent connection or a screw with a seal to prevent it from coming apart. I’m an avid chef and can most of my produce. It is a beautiful plug, but it needs some work.

This is the original Kohler sink strainer basket in vibrant stainless steel so it matches the vibrant stainless steel Kohler sink. The basket that came with the sink lasted 4-5 years. I hope Kohler continues to produce this item
