Nice faucet, frustrating to install due to old plumbing configuration.
This faucet does everything I want it to. It looks good, has great water pressure, the sprayer works smoothly and makes doing the dishes a breeze. Installation was straightforward, but a word of warning if you have an older plumbing configuration. Our pipes come from the bottom of the cabinet, and the solid copper pipes reach up quite a ways. This only became a problem when it was time to flush the lines. I had no way to get a bucket into the proper position due to my pipe configuration. Not the faucet's fault, but I did find it frustrating. Very happy with this purchase!

I love it!
The Barossa faucet by Kohler is stylish and fantastic to use. This is the first faucet I've owned with a pull down sprayer and I love it. It is so convenient to use because you can change from a stream to a strong spray with the push of a button. Also, the soap dispenser is a great replacement for the old sprayer that was in that location. Installation was straight-forward but I noticed that this Kohler model has a lot of brass and metal components where the model I removed had a lot of plastic. I also like the higher arch than my old faucet. It is super easy to fill large pots with water. Stylish, functional and quality. I highly recommend this faucet if it matches your kitchen fixtures.

Great Faucet Bad Soap Dispenser
The installation was easy and the wife and I love the flat sprayer. Our only complaint it that the soap dispenser keeps draining soap after you use it. We took it back to the store thinking it might be a defect. Unfortunately the second soap dispenser did the same thing. Love the faucet hate the dispenser.

Big and bright - great-looking stainless.
This is a big kitchen faucet with a high arch, and a long spray hose integrated into the spout. Lots of features, and pretty solid, which is what you would expect from Kohler. My particular sink had 3 holes but were offset so I had to use the single-hole installation. The instructions were pretty basic, so watch the details (read between the lines). First you will notice that you have to have 3/8" angle stops. I had to swap mine out. Also you will need a few extra tools other than those mentioned (such as a measuring tape); and a LONG Phillips screwdriver. At step 7 you are supposed to turn on the water to flush the lines. The water actually comes out of the center copper tube and makes a big mess so have towels handy. Once I had mine setup, I noticed that the weight attached to the spray hose would catch on other pipes under the sink. I never was able to resolve that, so I just pull harder and it works. Overall I found the installation to be about average. The faucet looks great and the stainless matches my Bosch dishwasher. I had to change out the dishwasher vent, and plug the extra hole, so that all sink accessories matched. I found the soap dispenser to be average. While it looks nice, its performance is marginal. I am not sure it's built as well as the faucet itself. One thing I still am getting used to: the handle on the right. I have to get used to what position is off and on; and which direction is hot and cold. In the end, I might move it to the left side (which the instructions tell you how to do.)

Sleek, functional pull-down faucet
I have had this faucet installed for about 3 weeks now and I love the look, the magnetic catch that holds the pull-down securely in place, and the spray setting. My husband installed this and said the hardest part was uninstalling our old faucet - the quick-connect supply lines made installation quick and easy. He installed it with the handle facing forward, rather than to the right like most people would, simply because this configuration prevents us from having to reach our grubby hands all the way to the back of the sink (plus, it makes intuitive sense compared to traditional faucet handles because left is hot and right is cold, instead of front/back). The spray-sweep feature really does a great job of rinsing dirty dishes. I would have given this 5 stars except that the soap dispenser is good, not great. After pushing it to dispense soap, it retracts slowly and then dribbles out soap for several seconds.

Great faucet!
This faucet is sleek, elegant, and is very easy to install. We had a very expensive Italian made faucet prior to the Kohler. That old faucet was installed the old school way and quickly became loose. If you've ever tried to tighten a faucet with a large nut you can appreciate how painful it is. Well, that old faucet was loose for three years and on my honeydo list until it finally broke. Thankfully ! I opted for the Barossa because of its design and features. The faucet installs with a large nut but that nut is actually tightened by two screws. You do not have to try to get a wrench around it. After you flush the lines, the sprayer line simply snaps into place. The spray head has a very strong spray which is great for rinsing dishes as well as the sink. The sprayer is held tightly in place by a magnet so it is not flopping about. Well, I am happy to say that the installation was a breeze and we love this faucet. It looks beautiful and works flawlessly. If I had only known, I would have done this long ago. Looks amazing with the one hole installation. A great buy at this pricepoint. Highly recommended.

A quick installing great looking functional faucet
The KOHLER Barossa is a great looking fixture. The packaging was adequate as the faucet was protected within its own product box and was shipped inside a second cardboard box. The Barossa was also very easy to install and only requires a screwdriver and a wrench to complete the install. Installation directions are clear for both 1 hole and/or 2/3/4 hole sinks. The high arch of the spout does create a lot more space in and around the sink and the 360 degree rotation of the spout allows you to move the spout out of the way when it is not in use. The aerated stream has a significant amount of flow. The sweep spray is definitely powerful and works well when used to clean dishes with food remnant. Just a note that the two function button on the faucet head is not momentary and does require you to switch back and forth between the two types of sprays. The soap dispenser rotates freely allowing you to move it out of the way if necessary. Lastly the finish does seem to clean easily by wiping down with a wet cloth/paper towel. With regard to installation: My installation was on a 4 hole sink. The photo shows the 3 holes that are utilized by the faucet itself. The remaining hole (not pictured) is used by the soap dispenser. A single hole installation only requires the center post which utilizes a plastic washer, metal washer, and a bracket with two screws that you hand tighten into place. Once the bracket is in place you tighten the screws with a screwdriver to firmly secure the faucet post. Two plastic nuts hand tighten to the outer two threaded posts to secure the faucet plate on a sink with 3 or 4 holes.

    Great Faucet
Very happy with this faucet. It is real stainless steel and not plastic. The mounting hardware is much better than the MOEN faucet I replaced. The spray function is amazing but almost a little too powerful. Looks great too! The soap dispenser is an added plus since I removed my old sink sprayer.

    good upgrade
As I have heard from others about faucet installs, removing the old one is always more difficult. Once the old one was gone, installing this was very easy. This was my first kitchen faucet install and it took about 15 minutes. The faucet works as advertised and the fan spray is helpful in washing debris into the disposal. The extension nozzle retracts as it should and docks magnetically without issue. I love how far it reaches, which is helpful for filling pitchers and pots while they stay on the counter. The handle has smooth operation but the faucet itself swivels just a bit more freely than my last one. My only real issue is with the soap dispenser. It swivels way too easily because the pump doesn't actually screw into the receptacle. It also drips soap into the sink after use. With such a great faucet, I expected the same quality with the dispenser. Other than that, it is a great upgrade to my kitchen.

    Kitchen Faucet
This faucet is very easy to install. It took longer to remove the old faucet than to install the new one. The finish on this faucet matches our cabinet handles better than the old one did. It is very easy to move the faucet handle from hot to cold and the spout swivels with very little effort. Going from a single handle to this one has some getting use to. Instead of moving the handle to the left and right you move it front to back. So the cold is when you move it to the front and hot to the back. No special tools were required to install this faucet. The longer the phillips screwdriver you have the eaiser it will be tighting the spout/handle assembly. No other items were needed to completely install this system. Everything but the tools were in the box. The soap dispensor head just swivels around too easily. If you try to pump it too fast it might slip out from under your hand or spin away from where you want the liquid. Other than that it is a Kohler faucet and they are built very well and look and work just as nice. Should be here for as long as we own the house.

    Durable finish, easy to install
I expect plumbing fixtures to last a long, long time. That's why I'm only interested in manufacturers that have a good and long track record (because I want to be able to find replacement parts in the future) and that stand behind their products with a good warranty. For all the wonderful things that water does, it can also cause a lot of headaches. Being selective about the plumbing products I install gives me peace of mind. Kohler is on my short list of plumbing manufacturers I trust. I have some Kohler products that haven't had any issues but last month a relative (whose kitchens and baths use all Kohler fixtures) was having problems with one of their kitchen faucets. We work on projects together and he asked me to give him a hand. We diagnosed the problem, filled out the information on Kohler's support website and in a few days the parts arrived and the sink was as good as new. Out of a dozen or so Kohler products in their home for many years only one had an issue and when it did have a problem Kohler was able to send parts to fix it. That's the type of dependability I want from products that get used multiple times a day and make your life miserable when they fail. Kohler has that level of dependability in my experience. The Barossa faucet has a pull down sprayer. A button on the back of the spray head switches from a regular aerated stream to a fan-shaped spray pattern that is a lot more effective and powerful than the previous style sprayer my old faucet had. The button isn't a momentary switch. It stays on fan spray mode after you press it and you have to switch it back to the normal stream pattern when you're done with the spray. I think I would have preferred a momentary switch but that's a minor quibble. The faucet also comes with a soap/lotion pump dispenser in a matching stainless finish as well as an escutcheon to cover up the three holes that may have been necessary for your old faucet. I really appreciated that the escutcheon was included as I was installing the faucet in a 4 hole (Kohler by the way) sink. The faucet and escutcheon cover up the three holes that the old faucet was in and the soap dispenser takes up the space that the old sprayer called home. If this is a new installation you'll probably want to pick a single hole sink or cut your counter top for a 1 hole faucet as the escutcheon is really only useful if you're covering up unused holes. It can be installed without it. If you're upgrading your faucet on an older sink you get everything you need in the box. And I mean everything. No plumbers putty or Teflon tape necessary. All you need are a pair of slip-joint pliers or a wrench, a screwdriver and a bucket. Underneath the escutchen is a plastic insert that has a foam strip that runs all the way around it. A similar plastic piece that fits under the faucet also has foam. This foam is used in lieu of plumbers putty to create a seal to prevent any splashed water from getting under the faucet and dripping down into your cabinet. Installation was a breeze and I was able to do it all myself with the exception of having someone catch the old faucet while I unscrewed it from underneath. I spent more time for each of removing the old faucet and cleaning off the gunk that was underneath it. You only need to connect the braided tubing to the hot and cold supply lines. There are no plumbing connections that need to be made underneath the counter top behind the sink like with my old 3 hole, single lever faucet. You do have to get on your back deep in the cabinet to secure the escutcheon, sink and soap dispenser though but after turning the water on I didn't have to crawl back there to check for leaks. There's a third braided tube where the mixed (hot/cold) water leads to the faucet head. Do not connect this until you turn on the water and flush the faucet (hot and cold) for 1 minute. Be careful though... Make sure the faucet is off (handle pushed towards faucet) before you turn on the water. Water won't flow out the bottom (where you're flushing) if the water is off. Once you're sure you have the bucket in the right spot make sure that the copper tube has a clear path to the bucket. If there are any obstructions, like say one of the braided tubes, water will splash every where. If that happens turn the water off before you make a big mess and clear the path before trying again. The handle should be pointing straight up so that you can flush both the hot and cold lines. When you're done flushing, the third braided tube (with the big white plastic end) clips onto the copper tube. All of the tubing runs out of the bottom of the faucet. This includes the hot and cold braided supply lines, the copper tube that's the exit from the mixing chamber and the braided tube that leads to faucet head. Make sure they're all straightened out and not restricting the motion of the braided faucet tube because you need this to glide freely as you pull out the head to use as a sprayer. I'm guessing the one reviewer that had a problem might have somehow installed it in a way where the hose was binding somewhere. Also make sure that the area where the hose hangs is clear and that the weight doesn't bang into anything (like plumbing lines) when you pull or release the spray head. Kohler calls the finish "Vibrant(R) Stainless" and I tried to find out what was so special about their Vibrant(R) finishes. It looks like it's a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) applied finish. It's a way of applying a thin film on a surface in a vacuum using high heat. A couple of years ago the process was refined by NASA. One of the advantages is that it creates a more durable finish than older plating technology. It's also a more environmentally friendly process as well. The only disadvantages I found were related to being more difficult to manufacture. Style and design are going to depend on personal preferences and fitting in with the other fixtures in the room so I won't comment much on that. The high arch makes it easy to put large items in the sink and to fill tall stock pots. I don't have any tall stock pots but I do have a furry little friend that likes to drink from the sink and the taller spout is easier to drink from. A couple of things I like about the design of this faucet is the shorter lever compared to a typical single handle faucet. It makes it a little easier to operate. Also, because the water flows to the head through a braided tube that's inside the faucet body there are fewer moving parts of the faucet where water passes which should make it easier to maintain. Don't have to worry about lubricating or replacing o-rings to prevent leaking. Great faucet, great finish and easy to install. The soap dispenser takes a little getting used to. Keep the sponge under it an extra second or two after you release the pump to catch that drip that always seems to fall when you're done pumping. It does hold a lot of soap though.

Good quality; Less than perfect performance
I installed the kitchen faucet about 2 months ago. The quality and finish are good. The design is not great as the faucet after being pulled out doesn't return easily to the housing, but must be twisted to return into the housing. The water flow is too restricted compared to the previous faucet because this faucet has a smaller diameter hose. So now it takes forever to fill my sauce pan to boil spaghetti or to wash large items. I'm very conservative about water use since I live in drought-ridden California, but this is ridiculous. The sprayer does splash everywhere, so I use it less than I'd to. The problem with buying stuff online is you can't inspect the product directly; this is a shame as I'm sure your company makes a fine product model that would make me happier but it's hard to find it.

Hi HPL, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I am very sorry you are not completely satisfied with your Barossa kitchen faucet. We put a lot of thought into our products, so this is disappointing to hear. The faucet is designed to produce a smooth spray and I would like to make a suggestion to improve the splashing. The MasterClean spray can be cleaned by running your fingers across the rubber nozzles while the water is running. Please email our team directly at KohlerCustServ@kohler.com for additional assistance. Kindly, Sarah S. Kohler Customer Service

I have owned this faucet for a year and half, the cartridge went bad after just one year, I have been either heating hot water on the stove or getting hot water from my bathroom faucet for the past 6 months. I am now biting the bullet and having a plumber come and repair.

      Faucet hose leaks. Ruined cabinets
Just moved into a house and the Kohler fauet was leaking and had ruined the cabinets. Based on other reviews I should not replace the hose but replace the entire faucet. This is a disappointing from Kohler.

Faulty design, ruined my cabinet board.
This faucet is an overpriced piece of crap. By the metal polished look of it, you would think that it will last forever. The outside may be metal, but the inside is cheap plastic, especially the valve. It has a faulty design that when it breaks on its own, every time you open the faucet, it leaks underneath into the cabinet board and it rottens the wood and you will have to replace not just the faucet but also the board and your kitchen will stink of mold.

Known Clogging Issue - No Guidance From Kohler
We purchased this faucet from Home Depot in 2017. After about a year, the pressure dropped. We replaced the spray head, but only got marginal pressure gains. After years of searching for a solution, I finally found the culprit on YouTube: an inline pressure-regulator in the quick-connect that gets easily clogged with fine grains of sand. Removing this and the faucet works again. Wouldn't be a bad faucet if Kohler had some kind of documentation/solution for this frequent and known problem.

Supply lined are prone to kinking and small diameter limits water flow. Control lever has very limited range for volume or temperature selection. Mounting screws put high stress on sink. A lower washer with spines on upper side would help.
