Henry 208 is the first in our line of Wet Patch repair products. Henry 208 can be applied at 20 degrees, in driving rain or even underwater. Henry 208 will stop that leak the first time and will last for 7 years. Thank you for putting your trust in the Henry Co and the Home Depot.

Thicker application never cured/dried.
Thicker applications of 1/8 inch never dried/cured. Thinner areas did not repel water. Weather was sunny around 50 degrees for several days. Cracks covered were very thin; no more than 1/8 inch. Today, 6 weeks later, still not dry. Product is as soft as day of application in some areas. Removed the soft tar. Sure made a mess. Disappointed. Will wait until dry (hopefully soon) and apply silicone caulking.
Used this on a chicken coop roof.

Lisa, this is surprising news. Henry 208 does take up to 90 days or so to cure completely. The application process should follow the 3-course patch method illustrated on the can. Apply a 1/8th" layer of 208 to the surface, embed Henry 181 or 183 Fabric into the first layer and cover the fabric with 1/18" to 1/4" layer of 208. Roofs expand and contract daily and without the fabric support the cracks may open up again before the 208 has had a chance to cure. Kawagoe, Henry 208 has a 7 year warranty if applied in the 3-course patch method illustrated on the can label. Apply a 1/8" layer of 208 over the seam. Embed the 181 or 183 fabric in the layer and then cover the fabric with another 1/8" layer of 208. That repair should last 7 years. Stopped leaks on my roof tin.
I applied Henry 208 to a leaking roof tin screw that had a deteriorated gasket. It stopped the leak so well I applied it to all the roof tin screws. Now my pole barn is perfectly dry again. I will definitely be using it on future projects.

Clem, good to see your comments. We had a similar experience with a pole barn several years ago where a pesky leak was just over where they stored the hay. Once the Henry 208 was applied to the screw head the leak stopped. You can also use Henry 209XR for metal roofs since it has rubber fiber and lasts a lifetime. Bought the older formula of wet patch so I would have the same mterial that was on the roof. The newer formula is rubberized and stretches. DID not want non-compatible materials on mixed.

While some have a little more rubber fiber content which makes the warranty a little longer, all three products can be used with the other. A great product for either a quick repair or a long term seal . I have been using it for many years in some really adverse conditions . Wear gloves . This stuff is hard to get off of your skin. Conversely , it adheres really well!

Using the Henry 181 or 183 Fabric with Henry 208 makes the repair up to 5 times stronger. To patch a water leak on your roof in almost any kind of weather the only products that beat Henry 208 are 208R and 209XR. Thank you for putting your trust in the Henry Co and the Home Depot.

Does what it says, use WD-40 to get it off of you
Application of product can be messy, but it does what it says. Seems to be fairly long lasting too. My best advice is to use WD-40 to get this off of your self. It wants to stick to everything, and you'll inevitably get it on your skin. WD-40 makes short work of it.

When used in the 3-course patch system as illustrated on the can label you can have a patch that will last 7 years. We have also heard that WD-40 can be used to remove it if you get it on yourself. Ron, Henry 208 Wet Patch is ready to use right out of the can or caulking tube. Henry 208 does not need to be stirred, can be used in temperatures as low as 20 degrees and in very bad weather.
