Simply put, it's outstanding. This is one of the most popular ceiling fans Home Depot sells, so it's often out of stock. Now, I know why. After waiting and waiting, we signed up for email alerts, then bought two of them once they were back in stock, one in brown, one in white. They were worth the wait. Great fans, and they really put out a lot of air (have a high CFM rating). We returned a similar ceiling fan to Lowes uninstalled, because it did NOT produce good air flow, which is a design issue related to blade pitch and other factors. Better yet, it's stylish, easy to install, and wet rated for outdoor use. We installed the white one outside in our covered pergola, and enjoy sitting outside in the breeze nearly every evening on our patio. Very happy with this great product, and you will be too.

Installed 4 units on lanai, instructions were clear and installation was fast and easy. Good air flow and quiet operation.

Great looking fan and extremely quiet. Very easy to install. I would recommend you make sure the housing is a heavy duty one. This fan is heavy. I replaced the plastic housing with a sturdy metal one before installing the fan. Very simple instructions to follow. Could easily be installed by a beginner. I have had the fan up for a few weeks now and have used it just about every day. Does a great job at cooling the patio off. One of the few outdoor fans I could find that was low profile and still had a light. I am ecstatic with the fan and glad I went with this product.

Beautiful ceiling fan. Was easy to install.

We installed two of these fans on our AZ patio. Thankfully, the home builder used "fan boxes" when installing the original light fixtures and pre-wired for separate light and fan wall switches. Installation was about 20 min per fan. Also installed an LED dimmer for the light wall switch and swapped out the non-dimmable LED bulbs included with the fan for dimmable equivalent. All worked perfectly. Fans don't produce high air volume, but do provide a very comfortable level of air. Tends to keep the pesky bugs at bay in the evening, too. Very happy with the install and performance.

Easy to assemble/install and very quiet when on. Installed on covered back patio area of my house so the “amber” light from the stained light enclosure is not a problem and is much better than being blinded by a true white light in my opinion. The dim light also does not seem to attract as many bugs as the old fan did, so no complaints from me. For the price not sure I could be any more pleased, if it lasts 3-5 years I’ll consider it a bargain.

These fans (I bought two) are beautiful and have been very reliable. But best of all, I’m a 55 y/o woman who installed this fan on a 10-foot pergola. I’ve never installed a ceiling fan before. After the electrician installed electrical boxes, the ease of assembly and user-friendly instructions made the task doable for me. Now I’m pretty handy, but everything about these fans has worked well for me.

SO easy to install. We have the light on one switch and the fan on the other. It looks elegant and we love it. NO noise, does not shake - perfect 3 speeds. The light is just right. Not too dim and not too bright. Comes with the LED bulbs. I would highly recommend this ceiling fan. We generally do not do these reviews but it is that good of a purchase. See photos.

The fan is nice, runs smooth, quiet and we ordered it online with in-store pick up. It came to the store and we picked it up without a problem or issue. Service was quick and check out was easy. Our outdoor patio isn't compete yet but he fan looks great!

Nice looking fan. I like the close ceiling mount. Not lots of light but nice for a bedroom. Doesn't eat up the ceiling like larger fans.

Purchased two of these for our screened porch. Installation was simple, they work fine and they look great.

Quite a task bundling the wiring and remote device inside fan housing prior to attaching unit to the ceiling.

Easiest Fan I ever installed. The base screws right to your junction box and most of the screws are keyed for easy turn then tighten. You can't go wrong at this price point. As others have stated, it close to the ceiling. The blades are approx 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 inches from the ceiling. The light measures approx 10.5 " from the ceiling. The Hampton Bay representative should delete all of his posts that indicate: 1) there is not enough room or 2) it is next to the spinning motor. Both assertions are inaccurate. The receiver is next to the mounting bracket above the spinning motor. I believe his posts stating this have caused much confusion, especially for me.

The fan is beautifully made and we love it! We have it in the building my husband built(using home depot materials) for his grill. This fan has made the building look so pretty and we have a breeze during the Texas hot months!

I would give it 10 stars if i could! Quality and Value are AMAZING! Go HAMPTON BAY (The home depot in-house brand). • All critical parts are heavy duty metal; rugged and well machined. • All predrilled holes line up perfectly! • Instructions are PERFECT: clear wording, clear diagrams, clear step-by-step. • Rubber “washers” are thoughtfully and carefully preinstalled to make installation easy. • Brilliant “hang the motor” hook allows for easy one person installation; the motor (quite heavy) hangs on a heavy duty hook at a 45° angle so its easy to connect the house (ceiling) wiring to the motor, use the included wire nuts, get everything neat and tidy. And it gets better: each time you have to add a section (the motor is one of three) there are 3 pre-installed screws; you unscrew one, the other two are center/twist/tighten, and then it’s a piece of cake to reinstall the third screw (that lines up just so!) • The wiring is carefully and accurately color coded; both the wiring and the wire harnesses. • The blade assembly (5 units) is perfectly designed; rugged, all screws line up just right, and they even give you one extra screw (with rubber “washer”) since there are 12 in total and they are a unusual size and shape and on the small (could get lost) side. • Last but not least: the lovely, heavy cloudy white glass cover for the lights does not have those awful screws to keep it in place. All you do is line it up carefully and give a gradual counterclockwise turn and voila: it tightens right up into place. Easy (and secure) on and off! • And yes, I tested it on high (quite a wind, low will be fine for most days) and not a bit of wobble (although they provide a “wobble kit” just in case!) • BOTTOM LINE: from the quality of the product, the price, the lifetime warranty and the perfection of the installation this could be the “best buy” kit-type product I have ever purchased.

I will start out with the Pro's & Con's, then the fixes . I have 4 of these fans (2 White and 2 iron), two whites were bought last year, the two iron color ones this year. The fans are well built, and if you need a fan that hugs a ceiling this is the fan you want. That being said, quality control is terrible. Out of 4 fans, 3 of them were faulty. Two the light did not work and the third only worked on low speed. The light problem was an easy fix, the blue pin in the connector was not pushed in all the way. The fan speed problem was in the motor itself, it had to be returned. I also found an assembly fault when checking the speed problem. They ran the cotter pin thru the wire harness. What I found when diagnosing the problems; If the fan light does not work check the pins in connector. If the circuit breaker blows, check that the cotter pin did not pierce the wires. If you only have low, most likely it will have to go back. You would be better off ordering an extra fan, especially if you hire an electrician to install. You can always return the extra fan. Also the glass looks better in white, you can remove the amber coating with Acetone. I hope this review helps.

I've hung a dozen + fans so I know how to test current, etc. and this fan was DOA - dead on arrival. Took back to the store (Clemson, SC) and of course none to replace at this price nor did they offer me any sort of inconvenience credit. Once or twice over the last 15 years, they've offered 10% off my next purchase. I had to get the fan up same day so went to Lowes 4 blocks away and found a perfect fan (52 inch) on sale for the same price. Sorry HD. This wasn't a good experience.

Finally had the fan installed. I love it.. Looks great and It meets all my expectations. Ordered It on line and picked it up at the store. So easy. Thank you Home depot. I chose the wood look side of the paddles to match my Porch. Love it!
