Looks and works great on our patio. It is quiet and gives a good amount of circulation. We also removed the amber finish of the globe, though it took some elbow grease and paint thinner to remove it (it’s now milky white, but not a smooth look, a bit mottled - but better than the old cigarette nicotine color - which is why I took off a star. I wish they wouldn’t put that color on the globe).

My fan worked like a pro. However, my globe broke and I can't find the right replacement.

Bought these for my living/dining room and my kitchen. I used acetone to remove the amber coating and the light output is great. They are gorgeous fans. I have low ceilings, one long narrow room and there are 2 in there and one in my smaller kitchen. Perfect for my coastal farmhouse style!

Installed a week ago, looks good, quiet. Pleased.

The fans were installed by a professional but work as intended. The are quite attractive on a covered porch.

I bought two of these fans. My first one was for my kitchen. I purchased this fan a year ago. Very quite once I got it to work. After I install it, it would pop the circuit breaker. I called support and they said it was the light fixture. They mailed me a new light fixture and it still popped the circuit breaker. I returned the whole fan assembly for a new one. That solved that problem. Since the fan runs so quite, I decided to order a second one for another room. Once installed it wouldn’t work. After doing some trouble shooting , I found a loose connection in the fan switch assembly.

I wanted a sturdy looking fan for my craftsman style house and this Roanoke fan fit the bill completely. It is weather rated meaning you can install it outside or in. If you are able to read the instructions (without thinking you know it all already) there is no reason why one person cannot install this fan on their own. I saw a review where a person complained about having to manually support the entire unit, inc. blades, whilst connecting the wires. If that person had read the instructions they would have seen the ceiling hardware has a hook and the fan has a hole to suspend it by, meaning "hands free" wire installation. My only real complaint was the glass light cover. It was a depressing nicotine color and not at all appealing. I used paint stripper to easily remove the coating. I see now you can purchase a white shade instead and i think you really should as it makes a real difference to the light output. This is my third Roanoke so you can tell I'm a "fan" .

Brightens up my kitchen. Fits closer to the ceiling than my previous fan. Even came with an energy saving bulb. Fits into my beach look decor. Like the 3 speeds and option of having light off when fan is on. Also got 2 hanging lights for kitchen that match fan well.

Replaced fans on front porch (one was no longer functional). Fans were identical to existing brown colored fans on the back porch. Fans arrived at Store after ordering online. Picked them up which is a very simple process. Fan components were packaged incredibly well - impressed. Instructions easy to follow and installation was easy. I have installed numerous fans over the years so the process is pretty much the same. Fans look great and are working well.

Purchased two of these several weeks ago for our front porch. Thus far they appear to function as designed.

The fan was easy to install. It replaces a fan that blew off during Hurricane Michael. While wiring, the fan hangs from a hook on the bracket to make the installation easier. I like the indexing tabs that aligns the blades to the right screw holes. The globe for the light fixture is glass, not cheap plastic. I installed on a pergola and due to a couple of reviews talking about water intrusion I used peel and stick flashing tape between the junction box and the fan bracket/cover that attaches to it. This should effectively seal any gap that may exist between the two, and the only way I could visualize water entering the fan. The fan and the light look and work well. It is also nice that two LED light bulbs are included.

I think they should also offer the light in the white glass. I wasn't sure if the acetone suggestion would work. It does work, but it needs to be pure acetone not a lanolin added or other special colored one. It makes such a nice, brighter difference.

Unless you have never had to un-mount a completely assemble ceiling fan and hold in place while checking the wiring, you'll not appreciate this. After installation on day #1 with about 2 hours of fan run time, on day #2 the fan would not work (although the light does work). So, wiring connection inspection commences. After dropping and holding the whole unit (as previously mentioned) I found that the primary connections were good. Now I remount the assembly and check internal connections. I took the "factory wired" portion of the unit apart to find that 2 wired connections, one in the switch and one in the multi-pin connector were loose or completely disconnected!!!!!! (SEE PICTURES). Cheap components and poor workmanship has made me very angry. I don't know whether to attempt to fix the problems or rip this unit down and return to store.

The fan runs very quietly. It's great for low ceilings as it is only about 1' after assembly. I love the design of this fan because it's not the traditional look of your grandmother's ceiling fan. If you are looking for bright light you may want to consider ordering the white replacement glass as the glass that comes with it gives a yellowed appearance.

We purchased two of these beautiful cottage-style low-profile ceiling fan with lights. What a difference these huggers make. The light is not designed to be bright so to prevent the attraction of bugs if installed outdoors but it does prevent you from being blinded when you walk into a room and flip the light on.

I just repurchasef this fan to replace the one i had for almost 2 years. The picture shows the part inside that controls the fan that shorted out and triedto catch fire. Luckily we were sitting tgrre when it happened

Very elegant fan easy to assemble. I purchased 3 fans for my outdoor patio and had no problem with installation. Light is more yellow in tone than i had in mind but looks very nice! Comes with 2 led light bulbs.

This fan is wonderful. Easy to install, looks great and has great air movement. I installed two on my back porch to replace two white fans that were constantly being cleaned to look white. After searching many sites for outdoor fans I found this fan on Home Depot. Was just what I was looking for dark rustic finishes, perfect diameter for my raised porch ceiling, plus a light that I wasn't looking for, but I really love. The quality and workmanship on materials and finishes excellent. If your looking for an outdoor fan and want a beautiful rustic look this fan is for you, you will not be disappointed with them.

Easy install, quiet running. Amber glass seems to not attract the flying insects so much at night.

Easy installation, quiet, smooth and under $100. What's not to like? I added a universal dimmer and it works flawlessly. He hookup was simple. Color coded with plugs made it a breeze. It's been up a few weeks and gets my highest recommendation.

Was looking for a outdoor wet rated fan with light that didnt break the bank, i bought 2 for the patio and they work great and have the $200+ rustic look. Would definately recommend. The blades are plastic so no worries of drooping blades this time.

Very nice fan. Arrived in the box with no damage. I installed it on our porch in place of a light fixture. Changing the existing box to a fan-rated box was a pain, but installing the fan was quick and easy. The installation process is well thought-out: a hook makes it easy to hang the motor while you are wiring, the fan motor assembly twists into place, and the blades, light kit, and glass shade are easy to attach and secure. The fan includes LED light bulbs. I added the Hampton Bay remote, and it was easy to install (all the wires are color coded and just need to be attached with wire nuts) and there is plenty of space on top of the motor for the receiver unit to sit. Works like a charm; the fan runs nearly silently, matches the wood ceiling, and creates a nice breeze. Only suggestion for improvement I have is Hampton Bay should check the fan mounting bracket hole that the wires pass through. The edges of the hole are a bit sharp, and it would be better to put a plastic ring in it to prevent any damage to the wires and a possible short. I put electrical tape around the edges of the hole to prevent any damage to the wire insulation.
