Never used the 4-wheel cart. Found the same thing down the road, so I took it back to HD. Saved $30.

Love the idea of this hose reel, but the connection has serious flaws. Because the hose connection is outside of the wheel, it kinks the hose. You have to always unwind the entire hose in order for it not to kink. I have the other Hampton Bay hose reel that looks like a chair and the design is perfect. The hose never kinks.....because of the design. It would have been better to have a hose connection within the two wheels.

Good product overall but it does not work with cloth hoses. They get restricted where they connect to the spool and you have to roll the whole thing out to get flow. It does fine with rubber hoses.

Good sturdy well built and easy to put together

This cart was supposed to have flat free tires and it had pneumatic tires. Other than that it is a nice sturdy hose cart.

4 wheels is a bad idea because it doesn't stay in one place when you pull on the house. Once you have pulled out enough hose, the tension it puts on the reel becomes to great and the unit easily flips on its side. Then, when trying to reel it back in, without having anything on the ground to step on with your foot to anchor it, the whole unit again begins to role. Would be easy to manage with 3 hands. Do yourself a favor and get one heavier with 2 wheels and a frame that contacts the ground.

Purchased this product 3 years ago. Virtually impossible to keep it from leaking from the start. After the first year the tires were running flat and needed to have the air filled weekly, defective tubes. By the end of the 2nd year the tubes in the tires were shot. When I took this out this spring all 4 tubes and tires were defective, cracked and deflated. The power coated metal frame was completely rusting out. Good powder coat on a product which is designed to be exclusively used out doors should not disintegrate and peel off. Replacement wheels are equal to the original cost of the hose reel. The new version, still Hampton Bay, a Home Depot company, currently selling has solid tires. Lessons learned? Can not recommend due to it the fact that the hose reel can not function after a couple of seasons.

Solid hose cart that allows mobility around my property

When we took it out of the box some things were already together. It seams like someone took it back to the store. We put the rest together and I hope it will work ok. It is to cold outside to try it out.

Stop messing around with garbage hose reels. This one is the real deal! This is the ultimate hose reel. Sturdy, easy to reel in a hose, and it has legitimate wheels.

Recommended by Liberty who makes it - as elderly in good health, needed easy and lightweight. Great price point too. Put my Water Right hose (very lightweight hose) on it. Wonderful!

It's a great hose reel. But the rubber handle tends to loosen on its own and the leader hose has already sprung a leak. I would still recommend it to gardeners because of its sturdy design and ease of use.

This is rhe most poorly designed and poorly made product ive ever purchased from home depot. Ive had ir for less than a week and its already rusting. You also have to detach the hose everytime you need to reel it/unreel it or else rhe hose attachment gets twisted

I like that this reels holds the amount of hose i need ,,, BUT: where you are to hook up your hose to the reel, needs redesigned, when you hook your hose to the reel and start reeling your hose in:: , the hose kinks due to the angle,,, plus as you pull your hose out the reel should lock as when you pull the hose and stop, the reel keeps going and creates a tangle and more work.

wheels roll fine, the hose housing turns fine, but it is not level.
