CSST flex tubing and connectors have changed the way we install gas line. it has reduced the cost of installation significantly. I do very little black pipe installation now because CSST is so effective.

Yes, MichaelD - Home Flex parts should be used on Home Flex tubing. Likewise for other manufacturers of CSST products.

This is a poor design, prone to leaks.
I purchased and installed three of these, carefully following the directs for installation. All three leaked. Due to the design, it was difficult to tell they were leaking using leak detecting solution. I would not have caught them if I hadn't done a system pressurization test. The design of these connectors differs from other manufacturer's and is significantly more prone to leaks IMO. I would strongly suggest using a different system.

I’m not sure what happened or what they changed but Now I have leaksEvery time I use one of these. I’ve been using them Since they first showed up in town. Back when prices for good on it. Now every how to use it in I have to go back through and re-tighten them.

Sorry to hear you had problems with your gas installation project, HomeDepotCustomer. It's noted in the Home Flex Design & Installation manual, as well as in instructions included with the product, that the new line be isolated and checked for leaks prior to burial. If leaks are suspected, they can be easily identified via a pressure check (15 psi held for 30 minutes), hissing, and/or soapy solution. If a leak is found, it generally only takes a readjustment of the fitting to make a tight seal. Upon holding pressure, the tracer wire and caution ribbon can be added as the entire assembly is buried.
