Defective upon delivery
Tried out the first load. The washer was so loud. I showed a video to the HD associate and they said it shouldn’t sound like that. It sounded like it was grinding. Then the dryer had scratches inside the drum as well as a few noticeable dents on the front and the side. It was also loud and would not connect to the app. Very disappointed as we had a GE Profile washer and dryer for over 14 years and just now needed to get a new set. Now dealing with more hassle of returning this defective set.

Your new washer may sound different from your prior unit because of the newer technology. Clicks, water flowing, gear sounds followed by pauses, and electric hum sounds are all part of the normal wash cycle. For help with understanding the normal sounds, please take a look at the support article on the GE Appliances website titled: "Top Load Washer - Normal Sounds". Never enough water. Must use deep fill option on every cycle, but this option is disabled on the “normal” cycle.

Best Washer I’ve Ever Purchased
I absolutely love my washer. I can remember my grandmother having General Electric appliances when I was a kid. Her products lasted for 10+ years. I hope to have the longevity with my washer.

Washes but doesn't Clean
After watching a few videos about the benefits of an impeller vs agitator, I picked the impeller. 7 loads down and I'm seeing a big problem with this decision, clothes are NOT getting cleaned. Not only is there not enough water being given to the load to even get everything wet, the pulsing action isn't creating enough friction to loosen the dirt and stains from the clothes. The only way to get the proper amount of water is to always and I do mean alway select Deep Fill. Get the AGITATOR!

We're here to support you with your washer. The Department of Energy (DOE) sets standards for washer water usage. Over the years, the amount of allowable usage has been reduced. With washers now using less water and energy, there will no longer be a wash basket full of water. Most washers are now programmed with load sensing to adjust levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary.
Your washer does offer a deep fill option, which adds additional water to the wash load, regardless of whether you used a manual or a load-sensing fill.

Love My New Washer!
I LOVE my new clothes washer! It is very user friendly and is already proving to be a big help in keeping up with the laundry needs of a family of five. The controls are easy to read and understand and the manual is easy to use, too.

I Love This Washer
My girlfriend and I bought this washer, along with the matching dryer, to replace a very old Kenmore 80 Series washer that needed to be replaced immediately. It's needless to say a massive upgrade and a very welcome one.
It's very different from the old agitator that I'm used to, but I prefer the impeller over the agitator personally. It does make a few new sounds tha tim not used to, but they'll grow on me. It's incredibly efficient and has tons of features that I enjoy.

If you love ruining your clothes, look no further
Both the washer and dryer will ruin your clothes and also destroy itself in the process. I’ve owned a GE washer and dryer for 2 years and I will recommend absolutely anything else. I can’t wait for this piece of Schmit to destroy itself from planned obsolescence like I know it will. The washer will sound like it’s going to rattle itself apart unless you have a PHD in clothes balancing. One extra sock on one side of the barrel and prepare for all hell to break loose in your laundry room.

Water, detergen & clean
Uses significantly less water than a traditional washer. Uses less detergent, bleach & softener. Gets my linens cleaner than a front loader!
