This is my second flat top. The first on had a lip aroun the perimeter so any spills were contained. The new will allow spills to go all over the counter top.

The old one was cracked when I dropped a glass pyrex top on the edge. Then I turned the cooktop on and it cracked all the way to the other side. The old one is no longer available, so we picked out this one. Installation was quick and easy and It works great and cleans up well.

This scratches and damages too easily. Never looks clean. Not supposed to put hot things on it. Stains if water boils out of a pot. The "power boil" burner does nothing different than the other burners.

After 40 years of coils, the clean lines of the glass top are a treat. The glass top is easier to keep clean than the drip pans of old, but still require more rubbing and attention than expected. For those switching from coils to glass, be aware that the bottoms of a lot of your old pots might not be truly flat anymore, and new pots may need to be purchased, Even so, on balance, the new GE cooktop is serving us well and we are pleased with the purchase, Also, our credit card which guarantees that we get the lowest price tracked the purchase price for 30 days and found none lower than the sale price we paid at Home Depot. Quality product and looks good. I like the setup of the heating units and the hot warning light.

This was the only stove top at our deaaler that was the color and had the features that we wanted. Since installation we have been very pleased with it's performance.

I am happy with this cooktop. I could be happier if the mid-size burners were just a bit smaller. They would fit my cookware better.

This unit was bought to replace a similar 15 year old cooktop that was accidentally cracked. The design is clean and the new features are noteworthy, such as "power boil" and a 9"/12" dual area burner. IT IS, HOWEVER, NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN WITHOUT SMUDGES! But it looks good when you do get all the smudges off!

I have had my cooktop for a few months. Love it, quick and even heating.

I bought this to replace an older cooktop. It's very serviceable, in that it's easy to clean. For example, the knobs pull off fairly easily and can even be washed in a dishwasher. The stainless trim doesn't trap residue like many cooktops, either.

Quality product with easy to use features. Great appearance in my kitchen.

I know other reviews mentioned it scratches easily, but which stove doesnt scratch at all? I think it has been ok in terms of the scratches given how much I cook. I purchased the black one and it is not that easy to see. Sure it doesn't look brand new anymore...but I'm happy with how fast it heats up. The tempature is not as high as I'd like to be but over all I like the product. It is not the type of stove where I feel that it is too expensive or too fragile to cook. With this stove, I feel comfortable to cook all kinds of things and with all kinds of pots.

I've had this for a month now, and I love it. I had to learn how to cook again because this cooks very differently than my coil cooktop. It's hotter and faster than my old one.

But it is not as easy to clean as my old cooktop. I do like the different sizes to accommodate different size pans and that the "hot" light tells you which burner is the hot one. One of the burners is a "power boil" burner which I have not used yet.

I bought my second cook top recently. It is my second one because my grandson dropped something on our first one after about 10 years of use. This one is working perfectly.

I have been cooking on this cooktop for over three month and find it easy to use and faster cooking speed than my old one. It is also nice looking for the price.

WE purchased this stove in December and if I could find any way to get rid of it I would.... THERE IS NOTHING THAT I LIKE ABOUT IT !!! Would return to the store if they would let us....

Pure black is hard to keep clean otherwise a very nice cooktop

Good looking, works great. 2 disappointments. 1) "Power Boil" burner does not seem to "power" boil, seems to take as long to boil as the other burners. 2) Cleanup. Does not clean up great with warm water only. Leaves spots. Will clean up with cleaner provided but for a quick weeknight cleanup, water is much easier. Other than these 2 things, happy with it.

Installed myself, Fairly easy, Like the way it looks,the slight pattern is better than straight black 

This product replaced a 25 year old cooktop while replacing countertops. It works well and is easy to use. It heats and cools faster than my old one. I would recommend this if you are looking for a good looking electric cooktop at a reasonable price.

I just bought it, and I am having it installed. I think it looks nice in the kitchen. Last year, I bought a GE refrigerator, and I like that too.

I LOVE MY GE COOKTOP. I HAD A GE COOKTOP FOR THE PAST 15 YEARS AND LOVED IT. I PURCHASED A NEW COLOR AFTER I DOPPED SOMETING ON IT AND IT CRACKED

Just installed cook top replacing 30 year old GE electric eye cook top. Installation very easy, fit on existing cut out.  Works great, heats fast and easy to clean.
