EXCELLENT COOKTOP
I bought this cooktop in January 2015. I decided to give up gas cooking and switch over. It was a smart move. The cooktop works perfectly, and it is super easy to clean. I would grade it A+++.

Cooktop
I like this cook top because it does not show dirt, dusty and streaks the way the solid black tops do. It has been easy to clean so far. We replaced a 20 year old cook top that still looked like new. It had even more white speckles and I loved it,but we were remodeling. I looked everywhere for another one with speckles and this was as close as I could get. It looks good all the time.

A very good product.
My wife and I are very happy with our new Cooktop. It performs exactly as advertised and is easy to clean. The burners and control knobs are situated adequately and do not interfere with each other.

Intermitant burner
The day it was installed everything worked ......... the third day the largest - 2 zone burner did not work. The next day it was working. Just tried all burners and they are working ............ just that uncertainty in my mind.

Please be certain that the small knob that controls the small or large burner is pointing to the large burner when you are trying to turn it on. No More Drip Pans!
I have had this range top since December. I actually wanted a gas range top, but after I found out about the added work and expense, I opted to go with the smooth top. The product performs well; however, I find that I have to clean it more diligently than merely wiping it off as I might with a conventional range top. I do appreciate the fact that it keeps the heat regulated.

Clean cooktop with great features!
We bought the GE cooktop several months ago and purchased this model based upon the balance of features offered, the quality of the product, and cost. This is for our second kitchen and we purchased a GE product based upon our experience with the GE Profile products we own in our primary kitchen.

Stainless Steel Trim gets in the way
We had a similar GE cook top that lasted us for years and years which is why we opted for another similar model. I love this cook top and it does heat up very fast - especially on the "boil" burner. Only downside is the stainless trim is higher than the glass. This causes it to sometimes get in the way of the pans and makes it harder to clean. Another reviewer also said that it scratched so be aware. The trim is factory installed and the cook top cannot be installed without it.

difficult to clean

looks great
I had ordered the less expensive model but when it was not available on time I went with this one. it looks great and I love the power boil. I have been very careful to keep clean before using so nothing gets burnt on... and I am terrible with pasta boil overs, but after 2 months and several cooking mishaps it still looks great.

Heats quickly, cleans easily
I bought this to replace an older model that I had for 14 years before I accidentally cracked it. I still liked my old one so I got the updated version of the same model and I like it even better. Newer features that are helpful are the quick-boil burner and the extra large front burner. I find my new one much easier to clean, also. Burned-on food wipes off easily after the surface cools. I didn't want digital controls. The lower-tech it is, the less likely it is to malfunction.

Second one!
I just replace my GE Profile cooktop that is 20 years old. It works perfect and looks new, but remodeled our kitchen and it has a white band around it. I love the way it cooks and the ease of clean up. We look forward to another 20 years!

Great Value and Superb Functionality
I bought the JP356BM3BB cooktop as a replacement for an old appliance. I shopped other manufacturers and models very thoroughly before making a purchasing decision. In the end I chose the GE cooktop because of its features and quality over competing appliances that cost significantly more. I was also pleased that GE included cleaning materials and a pad with the cooktop so that I didn't have to make a separate trip for these items. The care guide and installation instructions were well written and easy to follow. The icing on the cake was that the cooktop was manufactured in the USA. I try to buy USA products as much as possible.

PLUSES & MINUSES
StoveTop works great - just as we expected. BUT, the one main problem is the FINGERPRINTS !! Your new part-time job now is cleaning off the Fingerprints from the top of the stove. OR, leave the lights turned OFF..... PANS - be carefull with the types of pots and pans you use - some will scratch the top. Read the cleaning manual before you try to clean the top - it's very helpful. AND, use the Cleaning Pad that comes with the unit..
