Thus tape is easy to apply, much easier than others. It is warm enough it doesn't need to be spiraled around the pipe. That simplifies the installation.The glowing plugin is also nice to see that it has power.

Purchased this item due to the sudden drop of temperature on Long Island NY this past 22' Christmas from 40° to 18°. When I say every pipe and tank in our 36' class A / RV froze , it was an experience I never thought could happen when I was assured my RV was built for cold weather dry camping. This product helped in thawing my main drain & Valves to empty our holding tanks.

The heating tape works fine. Just be advised you must have a modern central ground source else it will not function.

Install it, tape it, insulate it, plug it in and rest assured that the section of pipe won't freeze.

Just run it straight under the pipe, tape it in place, put insulation over it, plug it in, and rest assured that the pipe won't freeze on that section.

Great product. Worked as advertised. Like Christmas lights I recommend plugging it in and seeing if it heats up first prior to installing it

Had to winterize the well plumbing. Used this automatic heating cable and then wrapped the pipes in two layers of insulation. We had a few days of hard freezing temps here in central Texas and my well plumbing didn't freeze up. Worked just fine.

It doesn't heat up and does not melt ice. Don't wate your money.

Quite pricey but have always worked well

Good heat tape, easy to install (get electrical tape). Read the instructions - don't spiral it around pipe, and don't have it cross over itself. Get shorter version for short pipes.
