Worked exactly the way the description said it would

I used Dexpan to break up a step on my porch. The instructions were very straightforward, and the product was easy to use. It took me a bit longer than I expected to make sure that it was thoroughly mixed, so just be sure to double check the bottom of your bucket. Even though I had a smaller than recommended drill bit (1" instead of 1.5") the cracking was sufficient to break up the step.

Yes, this product performed as expected and as advertised...quite amazing really !

Amazing stuff! Worked as promised. Even though I could only drill 1" holes about 6 to 8 inches into a huge boulder that blocked the drainage ditch in front of my camp. However, inexperienced users need to beware. Primarily about the hammer drills needed to drill holes in the object or material you're trying to split. The holes can take a while to drill. And the drills frequently bind and kickback. To the point where one could easily suffer serious injury. After getting thrown several times, I found two ways to deal with the kickback. Ideally, purchase a modern drill with kickback control. However, kickback control tends to slow the drilling process. Alternatively, use the first hole you drill to anchor something to help block and control the kickback. I used a 3/4 inch round metal bar sandwiched between a couple of heavy board, placing the first six inches of the bar into the first hole I drilled to firmly anchor it in place. Then positioned the drill's handle to ensure the device protected me from kickback. As a second precaution, definitely read and heed the warnings about prolonged skin exposure. I suffered a serious chemical burn from a bit of Dexpan that fell behind a kneepad I was wearing. In summary, Dexpan works even better than promised if one carefully invests the time and effort needed to prepare for its use.

Split the rock in 4 pieces took the top of rock off . Did what I needed to do in 2 1/2 hours

Exceeded expectations. It spilt a huge boulder easily.

Followed the directions, waited 12 hours and saw good results . Waited total 24 hours and wow , couldn’t be happier . Broke up a rock 4’x3’ 2 foot thick with 2 buckets . I would definitely use this again

Definitely check the temperature you get. It took 3 days to activate when I used type 1 product when it was a type 2 climate (weather had shifted). I drilled 1" holes and it worked out fine for my application which was to remove the top 6" of a Boulder in my backyard

The Dexpan worked great. It did exactly as it said for breaking up a large rock.

Used several times on a vertical rock surface and results varied depending on spot. 1.5" holes 18" deep at an angle. As there was no edge to crack to I drilled relief holes, however, worked best with no relief holes drills where I had some major 5 foot cracks. Some spots minor cracking. Was not an ideal place to use but worked.

It was a good experience to use a Dexpan expansive demolition grout for breaking big boulders . NO sweat at all as long as you are following the easy instructions.

There was a huge bolder in our yard right where we wanted a shed. Tried to move it with our tractor and it wouldn't budge. My husband works in highway maintenance and remembered Dexpan from a job he did years ago removing a large boulder from a road median. I ordered him some and told him it wouldn't work. He used a hammer drill with a 1" bit to drill holes into the rock, then poured it in and we waited, and waited, nothing. I said "told you"! But 3 days later, BAM it cracked and he could just pry the chuncks off! I think it took longer to work because I ordered the wrong temperature. As soon as we got the mix, the temperature dropped 20 degrees so I think that is what took longer! Great Product. The contractor building the shed was amazed as well!!!
