Used side by side with Milwaukee framing nailer. Both were great and meet expectations. But prefer the Milwaukee

Fast shipping, tool worked as expected and very happy with my purchase! This bad boy is powerful too, driving a 3-1/2” nail, no problem!!

No, I’m normally a dewalt fan, but this item was a disappointment. I returned it promptly. It was awkward, heavy, and and too slow.

Jams alot
Very frustrating tool. Constantly jams. Nails do not sink when shooting on an angle. Nails get caught in chamber and stuck in the gun. When it does shoot the nail, the nail is bent over and protruding from the surface by over an inch, which then means you have to pull it out. I own a lot of dewalt tools, and am very happy, but this tool is Very disappointing. Do not buy this tool.

    Great Framer!
Very good nailer. Little heavier than the Paslode but no extra fuel cells to buy or change. Used Dewalt nails exclusively...not one jam or misfire.

    DeWalt 30 degree framing nailer
I’m a general contractor and framer by trade. We used this nailer to nail all the rafters at the ridge, installing rat runs, knee walls and collar ties. Works great, no lengthy airhose. Only 3 jams in 3,000 and all three were trying to shoot directly through a big knot. Don’t run cheap, off-brand nails. I run Paslode pneumatics so no nail change. Any issues with this gun is on the end user and they’re likely running cheap nails, bought the wrong gun for their use or didn’t read the instructions.

Love this, but its my back up
As the title says - I do love this gun, but its being used as my back up to the Paslode. The reason was due to its weight. I bought it because I didn't want to have to have a fuel, and the gun works flawlessly for framing, even into some hardwoods! The magazine size is great, the battery lasts brilliantly, but my feeble arms couldn't keep using it above my head all day.

Great chose for what I was doing. Just used the framing nailer to put up a shed. It worked great did not have bring out the compressor to do the job and did not have to carry it up the ladder to do the job. Used both 3 1/4 and 2 inch nails. Its best to use a 4 amp or larger battery because it work a lot betterand a lot faster. It was a great price to buy and I needed one olso.

Has some issues, hanging clip moves around to much, nailing into a dense knot in material tends to jam the gun locking the drive piston out. Overall though there are issues, the time it saves makes the gun worth it if you register it with dewalt and have the moolah to pay for extended warranty (100 bucks at home depot for 3 year after manufacturer, fix or replace).

        Gun jams too much
I've been a Dewalt guy for over 20 years and always had good results with them. I bought this for some jobs that I would need better portability without dragging a hose around. I found that the slightest knot in the wood causes the gun to jam with the nail stuck in the nose. In order to clear the jam, you need to use the supplied allen key to release the rail from the gun, pull out the nail and reassemble. This wouldn't be an issue if it happened OCCASIONALLY. Unfortunately, I was framing a bar and it jammed every 3rd nail. I ended up framing with a hammer and nails rather than use this piece of garbage.

          Horrible experience
I'm using this for the first time after buying many months ago. It came with a sleeve of nails and 2 2ah batteries. So I tried practicing with the nails DeWalt supplied and everyone failed. Most the time the nails fail to go in 100 percent. They are 2in nails and roughly a half inch doesn't go in. They also appear to bend, the half inch sticking out. Now I'm just nailing 5/8 pine picketts so this should have an issue. This is a horrible force experience!

The Jamming King of Nail Guns
Worst Nail gun I have ever used in my Life!!! Literally it jammed every 5 shots. I was only using 10d nails too. Every shot that did work had an inconsistent depth. I bought it to specifically re-side my house & what a disaster my project started out as. Brand New out of the box. I am a Dewalt Guy & I love Dewalt tools but I would not recommend this nail gun to my worst enemy. I read a few reviews prior to purchasing about it jamming but I had to give it a shot myself. Sticking with pneumatics!!

Save your money, this and the 16 gauge trim nailers are trash. Non stop jambing. Takes less effort to hammer the nails!

Get the construction project done with this tool.
Attention construction and handymen,,Buy this tool and you will save yourself a lot of time while getting the job done. If you job is building sheds, carports or general construction this is the tool for you. No more hammering or dragging an air hose around the job site . If you own the 20 volt deWalt platform (I do) you will save money by buying the tool only, Your hammering hand will thank you. Note*. Collated nails are a little more expensive than regular single ones.

                $400 Doorstop
After getting about 300 nails through this brand new gun it stopped sinking them fully and I've been unable to find a solution despite *considerable* research. I e-mailed DeWALT customer service and have not gotten a response. Guess this is a $400 doorstop.
