Great bench top planer

Planer stand did not come with any hardware to assemble. Completely missing nuts and bolts bag. Local Home Depots did not have any in stock so couldn't return due to it being a package deal and Black Friday pricing. DeWalt customer service was initially helpful but only sent 8 of around 50 bolts needed. Off the shelf cost of the pieces to put together is over $40 for "free" stand.

Does a nice job with rough cut lumber.

Great planer , creates a 180 grit sandpaper finish when boards are run through it. Good dust port veryvpowerful!

This is a planer with good surface quality on the finish setting (180 grit or better). It is easy to understand and use. The repeated common sizes function is useful, even if I wish it expanded all the way to 2 inches. I had to disassemble the unit after I ran some boards which were too short. Thankfully there was no damage to the knives from the small oak pieces. The knives were easy to loosen to remove the wood shards stuck underneath. Lesson learned. My only complaint about the unit is that a shopvac hose is very difficult to get into the exhaust port adapter. I am dang-near considering buying another hose and leaving the adapter on it permanently, as it's much easier to get the adapter on and off the unit and the outfeed table doesn't fold up for smaller storage with the adapter on.

This is a great package at a great price. The stand was easy to assemble and went together quickly and cleanly. The planer is the benchmark system that is the number 1 choice of most home woodworkers. It was delivered without any problems or damage. FedEx, on the other hand, was a mess delivering it. It was days late and FedEx delivered the stand one day and the Planer the next. Tracking was essentially worthless

Paid over 600 for an item i never recieved! Says next day which is a lie. It said it would come 3 days later. Then it never showed up. Do not order from home depot. If they dont have it in store you will never get what you pay for
