Easy to assemble. Works perfectly right out of the box. No adjustment necessary. Beautiful smooth surface.

The box was damaged but the product came in good condition.

This is probably the best planer on the market. I have had many non-commercial players in the past and nothing even compares thus far. The fine setting leaves the wood unbelievably smooth. Definitely one of my best purchases in a long time.

Worst dewalt tool i've bought. Co-worker bought the cheaper dewalt at the same time and is still using it. We could never run more than a few boards through before the belt would break, then replacements were always indefinitely unavailable. Finally threw it in the jobsite dumpster.

Very happy with my new planner nice cuts. Like the ability to cut to 1/8 in. Thick The price was definitely right.

I like the compact size of the planer and its stand. It leaves a very smooth finish on the wood. I connected it to my large shop vac and so far, the vac has been able to keep up with the amount of chips/sawdust it puts out. I think it may be due to the fact that I have a cyclone type separator connected between the two. Also, I haven't planed any wide boards yet. I put the planer's caster wheel on the inside of the frame since it would have been a real trip hazard and ankle buster if I chose the outside the frame option. I can't put the wheel down with my foot but if I lift that side of the frame the caster will lock in the down position, and I can get my foot in far enough to release the wheel and rest the frame on the floor for use. The thin edge of the frame kind of bites your palm when you lift the frame but if you can put something over the edge to lift it, it makes it a lot easier. I used some pieces of edge trim made for the job, but you could use thick tubing slit open, or thick leather glued on, or attach a handle or two, or maybe wood with a slot cut to fit over the edge.

I am totally thrilled with the planer. I swapped the cutter head out for a helical cutter head and it leaves a beautiful smooth finish. The stand is fine. It is solid and a good height. I don't love the wheel situation. I have large cracks in the cement where I use this and the wheels get stuck every time I try to cross one. This is probably more of an issue with cement than the stand, but is frustrating to deal with.

Works like a dream, very happy with this machine! Directions could be better for assembly of the table.

Even though I have only had my planer since Christmas, it is working well and is compact for the size of board it will plane. I am looking forward to using it for a long time.

Works perfect both speeds.. great tool for crafting. Good price with extras.

Does great job of planing, easy to adjust for depth of cut, has two speeds for optimizing planing for different purposes (rough versus finish), and is very accurate. Virtually no skipe experienced near the ends of boards. Planing platform is very stable. However, locations where the power cord and chip outlet are not optimum. Had to create a rig from ceiling to lift up the vacuum hose so boards coming out of the planer would not hit the vacuum hose.
