The Brinly dethatcher worked very well and was easy to pull behind my lawn tractor.

Turned in my walk behind for a tractor 2 yrs ago. Last fall I decided on the DT-480BH, but never ordered it as I opted for hip replacement surgery. Now that I am recovered.......I GOT ONE! Assembly was more fun than work, and it is actually lighter and easier to handle once together. It now rests in its place of honor in my shed. Thanks for AMERICAN MADE!!!!!!

The assembly of the dethatcher took about thirty minutes by myself. Instructions were easy to follow. It works really well towed behind my zero turn mower. Did add a little weight to it to handle thick areas of thatch. I would recommend this product to others.

I bought this three weeks ago and have used it three times. It does a pretty good job on the number three setting I don’t feel it goes deep enough on the number one setting where it should just be like the scraping it it barely makes contact. But for the price it’s a solid performer

Easy to assemble and does exactly what it should do.

It does a great job dethatching our yard. The only improvement would be to make a little wider one, maybe 54" to 58".

I received this dethatcher about a week ago. Was able to put it together by myself in about 45 minutes and with a socket wrench. The pin to attach to my Cub Cadet mower was included and attachment was easy. I used it once to pull up some matted down leaves from last fall and mulched cuttings on the lawn using the tallest setting possible and no weight. It pulled up a good deal and worked as I had hoped. With a weight and setting the tines further down relative to the wheels I feel I should likely approximate the outcomes I had when using an electric plug in dethatcher, but this will go a lot quicker. The build is sturdy. One feature which would be nice would be to somehow raise the tines when transporting from say the garage to the lawn, as the tines scrape along the way. Not a big deal, especially given I'll probably use to start the spring and to overseed in the fall, but some way to lift the setup would be helpful. Otherwise, I view this as a great value and it's exactly what I was looking for at a solid price. Would highly recommend Brinly Hardy name (this is my first purchase of anything from them), and the dethatcher.

Works great with my ZTR. Just need to avoid turning at too sharp an angle. Requires multiple passes from different directions for best results according to the owners manual.

The written instructions were terrible but Brinley has a great YouTube video that made assemble easier. One correction, they say you need a 5/16 inch wrench. You do not! All of the nuts are 1/2 inch. I bought a new wrench so was not happy.

Easy to assemble. Went right to work. Like my Brimley lawn sweeper, it is simple, efficient and durable. Most importantly it made my wife extremely happy!

It works well. The only reason this product did not receive the full five stars was because of one step in the instructions was unclear, and as a result I had to take it apart from the beginning and put it back together. The instructions are not clear that the base of the unit the metal that is pointing up is to be at the back, and the downward lip is orientated to the front when orientated as if you were ready to hook it to your tractor. If you have the downward lip to the back it creates a difficulty in a steps later on. Another thing that wasn't apparently clear was that it was referred to "dimples pointing up" From my knowledge a dimple is a depression leaving me to believe the downward depression was to be facing up. When you are assembling the unit the correct orientation is that the round circles come up from the work surface like the top of the hill. I'm not sure if there is a more effective way for the manufacturer to communicate those orientations as every way is open to interpretation. If you attempt to attach the tines if the circles are creating a depression, the tines won't be held in place effectively.

I was surprised that this thing was so sturdy and functional. Right away it started pulling pine needles up. It’s definitely something that I’ll use while looking for results over time as it’s not an overnight cure-all...happy with the purchase.

I bought a home with an acre and half yard. It was totally neglected for 5 years. There was anywhere from a half to 1" of dead thatch. This product was very easy to assemble and adjust. It did a perfect job.

I own several pieces of Brinly lawn care equipment, so it was an easy decision when I was looking for a dethatcher. All of their stuff is well built and works flawlessly. Be prepared to bag up a LOT of dead grass after one pass with this dethatcher! It really works well, and is competitively priced.

This de-thatcher was easy to assemble and worked great. Once I ran this over my front and back lawn a couple of times and then mowed up the dead thatch, the lawn looked great.
