Was looking for a tool like this to help promote the lawn growth and the product seemed like a good fit. Having 2.5 acres of lawn I wanted the 48 in to make a dent in the task. Assembly was pretty easy until i ran into a problem in which the box contained two left had end plate, but a call to customer service and BAM that guy got the correct piece sent out in like 2 days!! Really appreciate the fast response. Finished assembly and went to work. It’s a beast, and setting the depth at the recommended depth was pretty spot on. In short…. Got the entire yard done, the spread out a bunch of grass seed and a nice rain followed that evening. PERFECT ! Pulling it with a 52in Gravley ZTR. Buy it ! You should be happy. Think I created a monster because my wife really enjoyed the process and she kept me busy emptying the junk it pulled up..

I recently purchased this for use with my Gravely ZT HD mower. Assembly was fairly straightforward (I ended up being short 1 washer) and the instructions for adjusting the height worked perfectly. I dethatched my yard and it worked quite well. Other reviewers suggested doing two passes in different directions and I found this worked well. Overall I am very pleased.

I bought this to dethatch my 2+ acres of grass, which has never been dethatched before. Two dethatching runs, each followed by a lawn sweeper collected the attached volume of thatch (see attached picture). A pleasure to assemble and use!

I recently bought a home on an acre, and bought this after seeing all the reviews. Assembly was super easy. No cinder blocks, hooked right up to my Cub Cadet ZT no prob! Used this for several hours on a Friday night and the results were great. Ripped tons of thatch out, left lawn intact. Perfect combo.

Live in the country with 2 acres it work very very well the pile of dead grass is 30 feet diameter 3 1/2 feet tall

I received the dethatcher ahead of schedule and well packed. Prior to assembling, I painted all the parts to match my John Deere green tractor. A slight sanding and a can of spray paint and my wife didn't believe that it didn't come from the factory that way. Assembly was easy and took about a half hour. I did the 10,000 square foot lawn, 2 passes in about 1-1/2 hours. To clean up the thatch left by the process, I mowed in a circle leaving a windrow in the center, that I put in a trash can and dumped in the woods. The rope in the photo I attached to the 3 point hitch on my tractor so I could lift it to make backing up easier. I think this was a great price/value purchase.

I use this for raking and smoothing the gravel in my driveway instead of a dethatch rake in which it was intended. When finished my driveway is smoothe and level and looks freshly hand raked. I think Brinley is missing the boat by not mentioning this feature.

Works well but need to make several passes. Assembly took 2+ hours.

Works as designed but contrary to to reviews I read Pryor to buying you do need to add weight!

Once I dialed in the proper height settings and added two small cinder blocks for added weight, it worked like a charm. I picked up a small mountain of thatch, moss and dead grass with this. Highly recommend.

Product arrived with one tire missing, and the manufacturer did not respond to attempts to contact. Home Depot wont send replacement parts so had to return the whole thing.

I have used this multiple times and never had a break down. This equipment holds up to extensive use. I have over an acre to thatch and it hasn't let me down. I recommend this company for all your yard implements versus the other company that rhymes with angry mad! I have multiple pieces from these guys, they all still work well with minimal maintenance!

I use this on my zero turn mower. Excellent quality and really does the job. I like to start out the season with no thatch left over from last year and this rake definitely does the job!! Will be using this for years to come

It took a good many adjustments to get the dethatcher where it would actually 'flip' the thatch out. I followed the instructions for initial tine adjustment but I had to continually lower the tines about four times before it worked properly. Otherwise a solid dethatcher.

Easy assembly and so simple to use. It did a great job dethatching my lawn. Can't wait to use it every year.

This dethatcher works as expected. Easy to assemble. Remember it will take several passes to achieve desired results. The shorter the grass the better it works.

Bought it and used it twice already. Works great but need a good motor to pull it easily.

The implement was able to scratch out some of the thatch, but it didn’t dig down to soil level. I wanted to use it to prepare for reseeding. I’m back to hand raking and blistering. Maybe it’s not intended to do that job. Anyway, I’m out about $180.

It was easy to assembly. Did what I needed.
