I like the out come of this paint .. You need 15 gallon per thousand feet. Iam putting it on thick. reagards Kevlin

I had a rusty, old metal roof over my porch that desperately needed some help. I scrubbed off as much rust as I could, then used a rust primer (by Zinsser) under the paint. I did two coats and it turned out wonderful. No signs of wearing off yet!

Work good.. buy double of what you think you need..

1000 sq feet house 10 gallons and still not enough but i love the look.. it makes my roof look better..

After receiving an incredibly hi estimate to reshingle my shed I was looking for other alternatives for my shed roof. When I read of this product I'd only hoped it would be as good as advertised. One gallon of paint was enough paint to paint my 8 x 10 shed roof. The paint went on smooth and covered the area just as I hoped. My roof looks brand new at a fraction of the cost of what it would have costed to reshingle the roof.

Probably need to apply two coats to a shingle roof.

Unexpectantly needing to use a primer was the only negative. Primer plus 3 coats to turn black asphalt shingles white.

Great product. I took a brown shingle roof that was in excellent condition and changed the color to slate gray. It's beautiful! Only problem was coverage. 1 gallon only covered about 80 sq. ft.. Product said 250-450 sq. ft. I called Behr's customer service and they were great also. Very helpful and accommodating. The roof looks great! No need to re-shingle. Thanks Behr.

I first tried to spread it with a "thick" roller without thinning and that wasn't the best choice! Then, Ibought a commercial sprayer from Homedepot and thinned it out with 1/2 cup of H2o per gallon... and it worked out much better... Our color choice was perfect. The roof looks awesome and change the curb appear 500 percent!! After the roof was complete i painted the exterior with Behr exterior latex paint and the overall look was "Awesome, once again". The roof went from a green color to the slate color. I am 54 yrs old and I have never heard of this product or knew that you could paint shingles, it too 15 gals for the entire roof and it was well worth the price and effort, but, purchase a "airless sprayer". I recommend this product to everyone!!! Thanks Behr.

My only negative comment regarding the product is Behr should make the 5 gallon bucket more accessible. The product itself is excellent but don't be fooled by the rest of the comments/review that say you don't need a primer or one coat does the job because it's not true. You will need either a primer or secondary coat regardless.

The product didn't cover as much as it says it does, as many folks have written in their review. I had three of the nine cans that I ordered that had not been mixed at all. You could see all the different colors that was added to the base white paint. It was a little time consuming to get it mixed. The others I had to stir a little as you do any paint but the three cans hadn't been shaken. Not a problem to mix paint but when you find out that the paint has never been shaken and you are on top of your roof not prepared for that...it can be a little tough to do. Other than that; color was good, paint was thick, coverage was good, function of use was good. Overall a good product.

We used the multi-surface roof paint to spruce up the look of the roof. It looks great and we have had several inquiries as to what we did to make the roof look so good. We would recommend this product.

This product needs time in order to properly rate durability on roof!
