The SharkBite 3/4 in. x 1/2 in. x 1/2 in. Push-to-Connect Brass Reducing Tee is measured in CTS (copper tube size). The product has only been tested and approved to work on the following pipes. PEX (ASTM F876, CSA B137.5) Copper (ASTM B 88) CPVC (ASTM D 2846, CSA B137.6) PE-RT (ASTM F 2769) HDPE (SDR-9 ASTM D2737). If you were connecting the tee to any other types of pipes it may not work. Easy to use, used to make a repair on an old leaking pipe. Copper to copper to 1/2" pex off the tee. Just clean & de-burr the copper with the pex tool, mark the depth and push on, done.

I rebuilt some of my water line plumbing with Sharkbite...
I rebuilt some of my water line plumbing with Sharkbite connectors being the primary enabler. I had zero leaks with multiple items including a thermometer, pressure gauge, water hammer, and a replacement pressure regulator. Using Sharkbite will allow me to redo the plumbing to support a better tankless water heater and be able to reuse the not cheap connectors. Fortunately I watched YouTube videos and learned that correctly (but not difficult) prepping the PEx and copper is critical critical critical. I.e. used copper must be clean but not sanded. Next time I will look for a manifold for connecting my nerdy accessories.
