Not As Good As They Used To Be
Once upon a time I had purchased a Autoshelter for our previous home. Unfortunately I lost it in the Campfire in Paradise, California along with our home. I purchased another one for our new home in Paradise to cover a cattery to protect the critters. When assembling the new one I was disappointed. The quality as good as the old one. Many of the poles were poorly drilled and when bolted together they weren't fitted tightly. Many of the holes drilled too close to the end and one of them was right on the end of the pole and "hung" off the pole. Looks more like a "U" on the end of the pole. Not exactly secure. It seems as though the tent actually holds it together. Very disappointing.

    Didn't last
We bought 2 of these, one for a boat and one for a jeep. 2 of us assembled them in a day. The door opening is too small to drive them in but we got them in there by lifting the structure. These sat for the year and then the tops on both ripped all the way down the center. Very disappointing that they didn't last longer. Wont buy again.

the instructions was hard to follow cause they threw All the nuts, bolts in one bag and expected you to know which bolt went where. plus we followed the instructions with the measurements of the frame from corner to corner and so on and nothing lined up once we put the cover on it. plus the canvas ripped just by putting the canvas on.. and not even a week later we come home and find the canvas tore up from heavy winds we had.. But yet its tear resistant.. Wish I had never bought this thing cause now I have to buy a big tarp and put over it..

Hello, We are very sorry to see that you feel this way. Unfortunately, this canopy is not live load rated and it does list in the manual that this temporary shelter and the cover should be taken down in inclement weather conditions. We do offer wind and snow rated covers in a size very similar to this one which may better suit your needs. Customer satisfaction is very important to us and we would love to further discuss your options with you. Please give us a call at 1-800-932-9344. ShelterLogic

Bought a little over a month ago in early January 2019. Came home tonight to a totally destroyed shelter, main tarp ripped in half, two end pieces wrapped in knots around frame. Several pieces of frame are bent. Shelter is a total loss. My truck took a beating from the tarp and bent frame. It was a windy day today but that is not unusual during a New England winter. I had heard good things about shelter logic, I expected a much more durable product than I got. On the plus side it looks like I might have a chance to win $1000.00 from Home Depot if I enter my photo with this review.

We do offer custom shelters which are wind and snow rated and come in Heavy-Duty and Ultra-Duty covers. If you would like to discuss your options in more detail please feel free to send us a private message or give us a call at 1-800-932-9344.

        Lots of space
This tent is serving me quite well so far. However, this is because I reinforced it. Living in Newfoundland, we get some pretty heavy and consistent winds. Had I not reinforced the frame, surely this would not have lasted a month, in fact I’ve seen others around town that look brand new, after a day of good winds, they were totally destroyed (canopy torn and completely off, metal frame completely twisted). Having said all that, for the price I paid and being able to reinforce the structure at low cost using a lot of reclaimed woods, I would recommend this to somebody who was willing to beef it up a bit. If you live in a windy climate like I do, don’t buy this without planning to reinforce it, it certainly will not last if you don’t. Giving this 4 stars mainly because of price and size. In terms of durability on its own however, I’d rate it at about 2.5 stars. Hope this review helps.

        Bad product
I bought this shelter for winter car storage. I wasassured it was adequate. Atthefirst strong wind it collapsed I had to spend $700 to rebuild the structure withwood. The only part that resisted is the roof.

        Complete Solution
Everything you might need is included in the box. Assembly is relatively straight forward. The many pieces are number coded and the diagrams show you what to do. The assembly instructions rely on pictograms and use very few words. It all comes in a sturdy, compact box. My only reservation and the reason for 4 stars is that long spans of tubing are in two pieces when they could be 1 piece. But then the box would be twice as long and shipping cost would probably be greater, I would definitely recommend this product. I would like to see mention of replacement parts mentioned somewhere.

Carefully sort your parts and organize them before you begin. From opening the box to final assembly took about 4 hours with a helper for the last 2 hours. It's what I expected, for $200 it's a good deal. It's only been up a month or so, can't speculate as to how long it will last. It should be erected on a fairly flat area. Mine did come with 4 anchors. I will use additional 12" galvanized nails to further anchor it to the ground.

        Nice!
My wife and I purchased this as a short-term storage shed while we are moving. The set up took a long time, much longer than the two hours the manual says. However, the instructions were easy to follow and the structure is sturdy.

The Shelter Logic PE Garage without floor appears to be exactly what we needed to protect our metal patio furniture that we worked hard over the summer repainting. The directions were in picture form and fairly simple to follow with close examination before performing each step. The product seems good quality and withheld during some strong winds we had shortly after setting it up. We found it helpful to sort the pieces by number or size before beginning the project. The bolts all come in one bag...kinda crazy... so to sort we got 3 paper cups marking the corresponding factory #'s of each bolt size. We started with the medium size and compared all other sizes to that. Whether a bolt was smaller, equal, or larger determined which cup it went into. We set it up on our patio and plan to use it whenever possible for protected outside seating...so far, we are very happy with it!

Frame is great cover has failed / ripped after 9 m
I purchased this to cover my large 4 wheeled toy in January 2017 it is now September 2017 and the cover has failed and is ripping at the top across some of the frame points and I am sure that the rest will follow suit... covers are not strong enough to last for the unit.

            Easy and fast install
I have two of the auto enclosers and love both of them. I can even fit my diesel pick truck in it when I have to. Highly recommended. Even my cat likes it.

I bought the shelter for the winter rains that we get and a light rain at work just fine but with the heavy rain we've had for a few days now it is far from being waterproof my vehicle has got water droplets all over the hood and the roof and each the support frames has water drops on the inside how can it be called waterproof proof at this point I want my money back!!!

                Do not buy
My wife and I bought 2 of these a little less than a year ago. It took us all day to put it together. The directions have you put the structure together to find out you have to take it apart again to put the canopy on. The only reason we bought two is because we loved the one we bought before that was all put together with mostly bungees. Now all the seams are coming apart since their heat welded and the tarps is already tearing on the top. Since it was so hard to put together we did not build the second one and now that we see that the other one is falling a part we have no plans to do so

                  Shelter Logic shed 10x15x8
Great value for the money. Seems to be high quality. Not nearly as easy to assemble as they would have you believe. Takes far longer than they claim. No written instructions, just drawings. 3 different sizes bolts, dozens all in same bag, almost the same size. You have to go thru all these bolts, measure each, seperate into 3 piles. How hard would it be for Shelter Logic to use a seperate bag for each size bolt? Other than assembly I would have given it 5 stars.

                  Excellent addition
Easy to setup. Quite sturdy when properly anchored and well tensioned. They could mark the tubes better - and have the several groups of them bundled together - as opposed to searching through multiples of look-a-likes - but overall very easy to setup. Would also be nice if the bolts were pre-segregated by size. But for the price, it is excellent shade for the cars and bikes.

                  Very Satisfied
I have seen several of these not done well. I followed the directions and my shed is up well, not sagging and standing strong. Even on loose sandy dirt. I put a tarp down for the floor. When we had a heavy rainfall, I went out the next day, it was completely dry inside. Just love it. Neighbors are alreading asking about it and my sister already ordered hers.

                  Shelter for Horse...
We purchased this shelter to place a hay feeder within; and, so our horse would have some shelter from the elements. It held up to 85 mile per hour winds, heavy rain and snow storms. We purchased 6 extra tie downs. We did not put front or back flaps on the shelter as we wanted our horse to have easy escape routes front and back...the product has worked well for our plans and needs and we will be purchasing another one for a second horse. I am giving it a 4 stars, rather than 5, because I don't feel it would have held up without the extra tie downs....

                    Wonderful new Studio Space
As to the actual shelter: the pieces were all stamped so it was easy to put them into piles, and then the minor glitch of having a couple of miss marked pieces arose. My roommate and I had to redo a section of the ceiling and legs to correct the problem once we discovered 2 legs ended up being too short once the main frame was put together because of the wrong stamped pieces. Nothing that a quick double check with a tape measure cannot fix, so I would still make the purchase again. If I had to do the job over again, I would have paid closer attention to the actual sections as I was lining things up by their stamped numbers to reveal the miss stamped pieces faster. Other than giving everyone the advice to double check the stamped pieces before assembling a shelter like this one, I still think it was a great investment for my personal mixed medium art studio/classroom needs. I am still getting everything set up, so I can get back designing and teaching, but, I must say the high ceiling and everything else will work beautifully for my actual needs once I have all my equipment sorted and in place. This shelter has a good sturdy frame so is very worth the purchase in spite of the minor aggravation of having to make sure all pieces are correctly stamped. This frame is much larger/thicker gauge than a gazebo frame so I am not afraid to put tools on pegboard instead of having to dig through countless tool boxes and plastic drawers. Hanging part of my tools, beads, and miscellaneous equipment is reasonable with this shelter, as is installing enough lighting to make sure I can work into the evenings. I'm quite excited about being able to work into the evenings for the first time in over a decade, and still be able to entertain friends who swing by to see what my newest projects look like as they come together. Thanks for having this car shelter listed online because it is a life saver for me and all my students to use.

The shed was exactly what was described. I don't know yet how it will hold up through the winter, but it went together and finished as described. It was not difficult, I assembled it by myself. My one minor complaint is that the assembly instructions could have been a little more detailed. I had to find a you tube video to understand some of the instructions.

I guess this is why there's only a 1 year warranty. It's thread bare in many spots and won't last another season. Now I have to upgrade to what I should have bought in the first place. Als0 - the price of this has nearly doubled in 2 years; ouch!
