A: I used that tape for securing flooring- Carpet and garage flooring. It's 2 sided tape so simply unroll and stick to cleaned floor leaving the paper on top. When you are ready to lay the flooring peel the paper and stick the flooring down. When you peel off the paper You're left with an elastic gum adhesive with fibers holding it together. Works well.
A: The surface should be dry and clean of debris that will inhibit adhesion. Apply Tape Liner side up, to the perimeter, several across the center, along entryways and interior of the room. Place flooring. Fold back to expose the tape and remove the liner in easy-to-manage areas. Press flooring into the tape. . Do not apply this tape to finished floorings such as hardwood, vinyl or carpet.
A: Yes, it will work for carpet and pads, but I wouldn't recommend it for non standard purposes.
A: No, Tape is not typically used for a double bond application. However, Roberts 3095 is recommended and warranted for double bond application of carpet to pad installations.
A: Yes it works very well
A: .Yes, this is made for carpet to pad and works very well for that application. I know there is another tape that is made to stick carpet or pad to floor. I would think the extreme sticky backing on this tape may leave VERY STICKY residue on the floor. I have runners on a Deluxe Vinyl plank floor so would not use this tape to hold the runners down directly on the floors.
A: Carpet stair thread to hardwood
A: Yes in my opinion, make sure both surfaces are clean clean clean no rough bumps sand if necessary cause it’s thin. Also both surfaces probable should be warm not cold like below 45 I’m guessing.

A: I used this tape to secure outdoor carpeted stair treads to my back porch composite stairs about 3-4 years ago. My dog was elderly, and wanted to make sure she had more security getting up and down those stairs. I live in Massachusetts, so it has been exposed to the worst elements. Amazingly...those treads are still in place. I have no doubt when it comes to this tape's durability and strength. I actually wonder, if I will ever be able to remove them, LOL!!!!!!

A: This tape is not really designed to serve as a Carpet Seaming tape, and especially if carpet padding is going to be used. This is a double sided tape that works really well on stair treads and situations where you need both sides of the tape to stick to a surface. We use this to adhere carpet stair treads and it is really strong and durable. If the use case is to tape together two carpet sections at their seams, Roberts (and other manufacturers) have single sided tapes that work really well and better for those use cases. Seaming tapes are about the same price as this tape, are readily available and come in both pressure-sensitive and heat-sensitive installation options.
A: I tried but the sections pulled apart. To be fair I was working on a slight slope.
A: Yes! That's exactly what I bought it for. I was tired of the area rug moving, this was the answer.
A: It could be used to 'seam' carpet to carpet, but don't expect the same results and durability of a hot glued seam.

No, Roberts Max Grip Double Sided Acrylic Adhesive Strip Roll offers reinforced strength to permanently and instantly bond carpets to unfinished substrates and stair treads to unfinished stairs. You may want to consider Roberts Rug Gripper Tape. This tape is designed to create traction and help area rugs/mats from bunching up and sliding around most surfaces. It is Not a permanent tape to immobilize a rug or mat. Make sure the floor and rug backing surface is thoroughly clean and dry. Apply tape to fit the rug or mat (per packaging instructions) and install rug parallel to the direction that most foot traffic will flow.
A: Yes it will.
A: Thank you for your inquiry. Recommended substrates for the Max Grip Tape: concrete and plywood. Asphalt pavement may contain oil, tar etc that may interfere with the bond performance.
A: I would say it can stick to smooth cement.
A: I dont see why not. I used on my garage concrete floor and it worked.
A: I would imagine, however I have not used it on pavement. This tape is super strong though. There is a stronger tape that I was using Roberts double-sided carpet seam tape, it's twice as wide and super super sticky. I accidentally stepped on the tape and it took my shoe right off my foot! LOL
