A:  The Roberts Max Grip installation tape is not intended for temporary use to hold rugs or mats in place. It is designed for the permanent installation of carpet. A:  Great question. Max Grip tape is recommended for use with wall to wall Carpet and stair tread products with specific application with double sided tape. Max Grip tape does not offer recommendation for Carpet tiles application onto stair tread. Always follow the floor covering manufacturer's specific installation guidelines. Carpet tile manufacturer may require adhesive for stairway application.

Performance values of the underlayment and flooring are unknown when used under other flooring materials such as vinyl sheet goods. Any use of the product out of the specific guidelines are at the discretion of the end user.
