    Q:How do I install this?

    Answer This Question

A:  It should be double sided, so apply to carpet, remove backing, press carpet down.

    by|Apr 12, 2021

A:  The is a double sided tape with paper to pull off the upper side when installing the carpet.

      by|May 17, 2021

A:  It's 2 sided tape, super sticky. We took a pair of scissors, cut the length we wanted to use, (3 to 4 inches) 3 to 4 times per carpet square and placed it on the bottom. Sometimes we used more if the tile was in a high traffic area or we new we would be sliding furniture across it. We used ours on a particle board type, raised sub floor system, but it will stick to pretty much anything. Be careful pulling up, (either to reposition or remove) because some times it sticks to the carpet and pulled the wood particles up with it, (like I said, super sticky). Once we had 3 or four pieces on the tile, (near the edges and pressed down firmly) we would carefully peel of the paper backing, so as to not remove it from the carpet piece. Hope that helps.

      by|Apr 8, 2021

A:  Thank you for your inquiry. Make sure the subfloor surface is thoroughly clean and dry. Apply tape to fit perimeter of the installation area. Once the flooring is ready to place, Peel the protective cover away and lay the flooring on top of the tape. Roll the flooring to secure the flooring into the tape. Refer to the directions on the carton for further details or contact technical services.

A:  I would want a level surface cause over time the vinyl will settle into grooves

              by|Jan 2, 2023

A:  Ensure the existing floor covering is dry clean and free of any contaminates that could inhibit the bond of the tape. Unless the grout lines are excessive, the tape should adhere well. Always roll the installed flooring to ensure a tight bond between the flooring and the tape.

                    Answer This Question

A:  It is a very sticky tape. It holds great to our particle board flooring system and really keeps the carpets in place. I would imagine it would stick, but we haven't used it on something smooth like that?

                    by|Jan 29, 2021

A:  The stuff is really sticky and may work fine. How long it holds may depend on temperature changes if it's in a garage for Instance. Big swings may break down the holding power.
