Q:I messed up. I bought this for my impact driver (1/4" hex) and it doesn't fit. I can't seem to find an arbor for the 4-1/4 in. Hole Dozer Carbide Hole Saw that will fit my impact driver. Is there some kind of adapter? Or do I need a different drill?

A:  For a hole saw that big you need a large drill with an extra side handle

A:  HI Dave, the shank type for this pilot bit is a hex. It doesn't require the use of an adapter and its universal fit is compatible with all hole saw brands.

Good until the arbor loses its bearing
Hole saws are good, as long as you stick to wood (which is appropriate, given the bimetal surface). However, I lost the bearing for the arbor after just a few uses, making this much harder to use. Is it possible to get a replacement bearing, instead of buying the whole thing anew?

Great idea, but not ready for prime time
Like others, I lost the ball bearing detent after <10 uses. It's a great concept, but clearly the ball bearing retention in the arbor needs work. How can I get a replacement ball bearing?

Don't loosen the small set screw
The arbor works well but like others I lost the ball bearing for the detent. Is there any way to get a replacement?

I used this with the 2" carbide teeth hole saws by Milwaukee and it worked great. I saw this and thought you simply put the saw on and lock it in. Wrong. Pull the lock down to disengage it, Screw the saw onto the Mandrel, push the lock on (make sure the 2 prongs go through two of the holes . I used this on a piece of 2x and there was no wobbling or play in the saw. Great product. The arbor is about the price of a hole saw, that could scare some away but to me it is worth it.
