Bought it to replace my original that a coworker dropped into a wall. It makes using the hole saws much easier to change and get cut out removed from the hole saw.

Missing Ball Bearing
I have used this arbor several times, great device. Using it this morning I too notice the spring and ball bearing missing?
I would prefer replacing the set screw, ball Bearing & spring to purchasing an entire new Arbor?
Please advise, thank you.

Do you need this? Maybe
The quick change arbor/pilot is great, but it turns out I already had a non-quick change from a prior drill. It wasn't clear from the website (not just this one, all of them) that a special arbor wasn't required. So it's a nice to have item, but before you fork out for it, be sure you actually need it, most likely you'll find you have a usable arbor on an old hole saw. If you're doing a lot of work with different sizes, then this is definitely worth the cost.

This arbor does exactly what it is supposed to do....
This arbor does exactly what it is supposed to do. It has a very positive lock to the hole saw and the locks uncouple with an appropriate amount of effort, letting you easily screw the arbor in and out when changing saw cups. This is the rare gizmo that is actually a true improvement over the old tried and true (and frequently cussed) original arbor design.

Only way to do. This design tends not to bind the arbor in the bit. Quality holes saws tend to be expensive but this will last a while.
