I had checked online to see how much stock of a certain plywood was available. The website said 15 sheets. But at the store there was only 5 on the shelf. Digging a bit, I was able to look HIGH up on the shelves and noted a pallet of the plywood I was looking for, and it had 20 sheets. So all in all, I was quite happy with my visit. The cost of the plywood sheet was $30 less than the competition and I picked up 20 sheets. I am quite happy!

Incident review: called Ryobi Mower service. Explained safety failure. Mower motor sped up, blade sped up, I dropped handle and it did not turn off. Heard a crack then saw blade under mower, spun unevenly, then blade moved the mower several feet .For at least ten seconds the blade did not stop and the mower would not turn off. I had to jump out of the way, twisted my ankle, and when the mower finally stopped and I turned it over, I saw that the force from the irregularly spinning blade and speeding motor had actually cut through and cracked the mower deck and were hanging beneath the mower. I called Ryobi service who was very nice, nearly certain it could not be repaired, and told me to go to the Wauwatosa, WI Home Depot, hand them the mower, have them evaluate it, then they would repair it or replace it free of charge since it was a safety failure. Ryobi confirmed I was well within the 3-year warranty. I went to Home Depot and was told no one was there who was trained to intake the mower on the computer system. I took the mower home and returned the next day. That day I was told I had to go to customer service because they were the only ones who could intake it. Wait in line again, Customer Service tells me the store has nothing to do with Ryobi products after 30 days and I have to return to manufacturer. I explained to them what the Ryobi service rep told me and they called repair desk. Repair desk told them I needed to send to manufacturer and I needed to go home. I went to repair desk anyway and waited in line again. I explained that when I was there the day before and he was not there, I was told he knew exactly how to intake Ryobi mowers and was the only one in the store trained on the system to do so. When he realized I knew EXACTLY what I was talking about, he magically knew exactly which system to use and began to intake the mower. I asked him to review the mower, confirm whether it could be repaired (it can’t, the frame is cracked and shredded and the motor is completely unsafe and burnt out - even if it could be, it would cost Home Depot and Ryobi much less to replace it.) then the repair desk rep tells me they don’t do repairs there and they have to put it on a truck and send it in and it will be back in 45-60 days and if it can be repaired I will have to pay for it?!?? This mower malfunctioned and could have killed me! I explained that the Ryobi rep said he just had to look at it and confirm it was unrepairable and send the form for a replacement. He refused. If indeed the store does not do repairs, the Ryobi phone rep gave me the wrong information on that, and the Home Depot rep, once he agreed that it was his job to take the mower, was polite to me. Except, when filling out the form, he said he needed a one or two word explanation of what happened. I said: Motor Matfunctioned, sped up, would not turn off, destroyed mower housing. He said ok. When I received the copy of the form, it said: Mower Doesn’t Work. How in the heck is Ryobi going to know that the mower did this to itself, and that I did not damage it?! I am incredulous about the whole thing, have a sprained ankle, the mower damaged garden items during the episode, and this is how this works?? There is no communication between Ryobi and the store. If I didn’t love my mower so much, I would never buy another again! Notable: the Ryobi sales rep in Ryobi shirt saw what was happening and stepped in to say it should be replaced and reiterated the policy. Again, the Ryobi rep was very nice.
