The store was clean and organized when I visited. The employee in the appliance department, Ryan Porter, was extremely helpful when I was picking out and ordering a dishwasher. I realized when I got home that I hadn’t ordered the right finish that I wanted so I called. Not only was he prompt in returning my call, but he was extremely understanding of the situation. He went above and beyond to help me fix my order and was polite and kind throughout the whole thing, even though I created extra work for him. I very much appreciated his help and employees like him ensure that I will continue to bring my business to this Home Depot.

Shopping at this store was a pleasure! The personnel were very professional, courteous and friendly to me and each other which made for a pleasant shopping experience. I was shopping for countertops and there was an excellent selection to chose from. My salesperson, Alex, was OUTSTANDING! He was extremely knowledgeable about the products and services offered. I would highly recommend shopping at the S.P. store!

Always have a good experience at the South Portland store

I have recently made several purchases in the flooring department and Kalli was so helpful. She is always friendly and so helpful, going above and beyond for some difficult situations I presented to her. Always with a smile! (under her protective mask!)

We had excellent service above and beyond by Ryan P. in appliances. He helped us order a kitchen package for a new construction and made sure that we got exactly what we wanted, needed and even made sure we got all specials and discounts on pricing.

Always looking for reasons to visit the store and wonder around. Well lit, well stocked, friendly, knowledgeable staff. As much as I like shopping at locally owned hardware stores, Home Depot has whatever I need ninety percent of the time.

I cant say enough about this store. The products are well represented and shelf blocked so the customers have easy and clear access with explanations where necessary. As a former second asst mgr at Publix food stores, I am well aware of the impact correct stocking levels has. The employees are all very eager to assist even in these difficult times. We are permanent customers with this store. It is always a pleasure to shop here.

Clean store w friendly staff

I love our Home Depot store, we've bought an entire kitchen, carpet, decking and plumbing from this store and always found them to either have what we needed or helpful getting it or an alternative. The sub-contractors who installed the kitchen and carpet were great!

Understaffed but aren't they all, some employees are not very helpful, like I was an imposition.

Went in looking for rigid foam insulation. An associate stopped and assisted with my selection and loading the cart. Very pleasant shopping experience.

Great store, friendly people

Always a great shopping experience at this store. I'm not a professional or a contractor, yet many of the employees recognize me and call me by name whenever I go in to get materials for my latest home improvement project. The employees are knowledgeable and always helpful (Steve in Lumber, Keith at the Pro-Desk). And Nick the manager always engages with customers to ensure they have a positive visit.

First rate pro desk. The estimator/service folks know what they are talking about, find the best price and quality, steer you in the right direction. I purchased and had installed two real nice garage doors along with openers. Product was beyond my expeditions for what I paid. The installation was as neat and clean as I have ever seen. Very please all around, feel good that Home Depot stands behind all of it. Now starting more projects, enjoying the same experience. Keep up the good work.

I went to the store to purchase a refrigerator. The store associate was very knowledgeable and made my purchase easy.

I won’t visit another Home Depot as the staff and customer care is second to none. Thank you for all they do!

I did not receive any assistant for a stacked ac floor unit when I asked to pitch the product. I asked for a flat cart to move the unit myself and was told to carry the ac unit myself to the register and then to my vehcle parked outside. I asked for the return policy date and was told 30 days, I noticed on the receipt the correct return date is 90 days. I was offered a credit card 3 times. I will not return to this store. The store associates do not deserve even 1 star but it’s the lowest I could choose to leave this review.

Home Depot in South Portland is great. Busy place, lots going on, and the staff are pleased to keep things moving smoothly. There is a good feeling at this store. The manager and associates are very friendly and helpful. Home Depot is also very community minded. And this Home Depot store, along with the other Maine stores, make a huge effort to support those in need, including our veterans. Well run store with a caring philosophy.
