I avoid going to this store because the service is so horrible. I went there today because the item I wanted to order wasn't available to order online, only in-store pickup. I had to ask three very disinterested employees before I could find it. There was only 1 when the store inventory said 23. It took forever to get someone to look for more, I had to ask 5 different people, but nothing was found. I had to go buy it somewhere else.

This Home Depot has a fantastic level of products and the employees are super knowledgeable and helpful. I have purchased so many products over the years and I am always impressed with the friendliness and service offered on each visit.

The prices were extremely low and affordable. And the associates were very friendly and always there to help.

Store has improved over the past five years. It is more fully stocked and the employees are friendlier and moral seems to be very good.

Shout to the manager of the paint department, she is so sweet and helpful!!

The employees are very helpful in every department. I am there a lot, as I do a lot of DIY projects. San Marcos Home Depot is the BEST!

Though customer service varies greatly from one individual to the next on any given day, this store generally rates high. Today I had one of the worst experiences and one of the best. As a female DIYer I’m deeply offended by male employees who talk down to me, are curt, & seem bothered when I ask for advice or assistance- the point of HD. I’ll not linger on that negative. The best part of my visit today was Arman in lumber who was diligently manning the cut area. He was friendly, respectful, & helpful. He didn’t hesitate to go the extra mile. He seemed to be swamped helping customers, but took his time with me, explaining & price checking items before cutting everything. I watched him field questions while continuing to help others. His demeanor was calm & positive. I appreciated the service he provided. It’s tough working with customers especially when you’re being overworked. I hope HD appreciates Arman and the other employees there who make it a positive experience to shop in San Marcos.

TRISH was one of the best customer service people I have met. She knew her products and more important, she has great customer service skills. She could be a great asset as a customer service trainer so that all HD people had her skill set.

I have been busy the past few weeks working on my rental. Reilly in the San Marcos Home Depot has been invaluable in knowledge and effort.

A lot of employees in this store are very helpful. They go above in beyond in helping customers with the assistance they need: LUMBER, GARDEN, CASHIERS! SHOUT OUT TO DARIN in Lumber, SCOTT from Garden, and UTAH from Cashier's! Store needs to do more sanitizing and physical distancing. Please! I rate EXCELLENT for service and only Fair for safety of employees and customers.

LYDIA AT THE PRO DESK HAS NO IDEA WHAT SHES DOING, NOR DOES SHE POSSESS ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.... SADLY THIS STORE IS VERY NICE, AND MOST ASSOCIATES ARE GREAT, IT'S TOO BAD THEY HAVE ASSOCIATES LIKE HER THAT LEAVE THE LAST IMPRESSION OF THE VISIT.

Jason in the San Marcos store gave great customer service. I was looking for a 25 ft hose.Two people brushed me off with "If it's not on the shelf, we don't have it. Jason was near and they passed me off. I have been teaching Customer Service for many years, and Jason is a great example. He was cheerful, professional, and efficient. He took the time to search for the item, and researched when it would be in stock. That's the kind of service that brings me back to you store.

I love this place. Gwen and the other employees are really helpful and customer service oriented. The store always has what I need and check out is easy. What more can I say? Great place.

all big box improvement stores are the same. lots of stuff at ok prices, not the best prices, but they are always missing something you have on your list that should be in stock. this makes any project a pain. You have to go to multiple locations to get a full list of materials. waste of time.

This location is the worst for service in North County, associates need trained. No one scheduled for the Electrical Department, waited 30 for someone to cut wire... WOW Home Depot come on...
