I can always depend on Home Depot's Garden Center to carry a wide variety of healthy plants which have thrived in my yard. Love to visit even when I don't plan to buy.

I went in the store and Howard was so so helpful to us!! He gave us so much great information and helped us find the perfect solution to our rat problem.

Last week we needed- counters, tile, lumber. The usual things that mean lots of work but a new and beautiful result. We followed a recommendation to go elsewhere. We didn’t get the service we expected and left frustrated. Today we went to Home Depot in San Luis Obispo and left happy, with half of what we needed and plans for everything else. Kirby Anderson went so many different ways to help us put our ideas to light and we look forward to going there again soon. It felt like Home Depot has worked hard to get their act together and hire quality people. Good work H.D.

The Home Depot in San Luis Obispo is a necessary evil. Of the 5 HDs that I have frequented almost daily as a contractor since 1994, the SLO HD has become a business that I restrict my usage of. I now prefer driving about 30 minutes to the Lowe’s in Paso Robles or ordering online from a variety of sources to avoid dealing with the consistently negative experience at HD. Only out of immediate need do I use the local HD. It provides me great satisfaction to direct my many thousands of dollars monthly to more deserving businesses. As SLO is booming, the local HD benefits and thus I’m assuming the manager, Brian Lord, is held in high esteem for the increase in revenue.

Mary helped make my experience painless and quick. I use the SLO HD for all my construction needs.

I have found that this store has a good variety of products and the staff are generally helpful. The cashiers are always helpful and get you checked out pretty fast.

Head cashier Bryan (1052 00011 65539) really did go out of his way to help us get through the check-out line and then get our heavy stuff loaded into our car. I'm 78 and appreciate his thoughtful help.

Friendly and helpful staff. Everyone we encountered made us feel welcome and asked if we were finding everything we were looking for. They definitely have improved in customer service

I was shopping for tools to build my new home, and needed a lot of help. Every sales person I talked to was knowledgeable about the products, knew where to direct me in the store for what I needed, and did so with a smile. Best shopping experience ever!

I needed small chain for the project I was working on. I found the chain on a role and needed to be cut to the length I needed. There was a MET associate working two bays away, so I asked him to cut the chain for me. He said, “I only do merchandising, you will need to go find an associate wearing an apron”. He then turned back to the bay and started working again. Notice he said: “YOU will…”. He made no attempt to help me or find an associate that would help me. I walked to the front main aisle and found an associate wearing an apron. I asked him if he would cut the chain for me. He told me that he couldn’t because he was “trying to find something”. Now I’m mad and thinking about walking out. I told him that he was the second associate I spoke to that would not help me. He said he would try to find someone to help me as he was walking away. I stood by the chain bay for awhile and another associate arrived and cut the chain for me. When he was done cutting the chain, he started to walk away. I told him that I needed a cut ticket so the register operator would know how much to charge me. He said he did not have any cut tickets and he would have to go get some. I pointed to a pad of cut tickets laying in the bay. He filled one out and handed it to me. I did more shopping. When I got to the registers, the SKU number on the cut ticket did not work. The register operator could not find the chain in the register look up system. He called the front-end supervisor who started looking for the SKU. The operator went to call the person that wrote the cut ticket. The front-end supervisor found the SKU and completed the transaction. I was told by two different associate’s that they could not, or would not, help me. I had to get upset at the second associate before he even looked for someone to help me. Then, when I went to pay for my items, I had problems, to the point that a supervisor had to get involved. This was a very bad experience, and I will not soon forget. I WILL tell my friends and family that the Home Depot in San Luis Obispo does not make customer service a priority.

Needed some help in electric, found someone right away. Needed some products in the garden area also and found the products I went there to purchase.

I shop at HD a LOT! In the past few months, I have noticed an increasing amount of personal service from the employees. I like that and really appreciate the help I have received. I am not a young woman, anymore, so assistance with loading my cart and my car mean the world to me. (I would like to bring some of you home with me to unload upon my arrival there.) Thanks management and staff!

I like the store and the people but I get tired shopping so they need a “rest area” where we can sit down!

Patrick helped select lumber as I have a morbid disease called stiff person syndrome, ISAAC SYNDROME difficulty walking. He cut lumber, took me to register that was very curtias, he helped wheel lumber out to car. Patrick asked for help from fellow employees to figure out how to fold seats down in 2022 Palisade. Put cloth over vinyl seats with help to protect seats.

Josh, the assistant store manager, provides customer service that goes way above and beyond. He and Mike hand un-loaded 4 1/2 pallets of pavers at our Hacienda on Stenner Creek Rd after the store delivery contractor refused deliveries on two seperate occasions.

JASMINE AT THE SERVICE DESK HELPED ME WITH 2 MISSING ITEMS. SHE WAS VERY PATIENT AND VERY HELPFUL WITH THIS ISSUE. SHE KEPT HER COOL AND TREATED ME WITH THE UTMOST RESPECT IN TURN MADE MY CLAIM SUPER EASY. I WOULD LIKE TO RECOMEND SHE GET A HOMER AWARD FOR HER OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I constantly return to HD SLO and make my stop count as the range and availability of product is impressive. I buy a range of products from DIY sheds to plants, to construction material and more THANKY YOU HD!

I was in the market for strawberries and Cheyenne helped me get everything I needed to get started. She was extremely pleasant even after asking her a ton of questions about the strawberries she remained upbeat and seemed genuinely happy. Robert, our cashier was also extremely pleasant and funny too. He made us laugh before we left and they both thanked us for shopping at The Home Depot.

I bought some stuff and returned them without trouble. No other shop accept return product so easily as Home Depot. I love this store.

Home Depot is our go to store for anything hardware and gardening related. We also had Home Depot do the remodel on our Kitchen and they did a beautiful job as well as re-landscaping our yard with drought tolerant plants.
