Went to purchase a drill and found them all locked up behind cages. The cages I am sure were put in place to stop shrinkage, to help items from being stolen. Home Depot has become harder to find people to help you, so it makes it where you cannot buy items behind the cages. I had to search store to find help, and found none. I called on my cell and the store could not find anyone to help me and asked that I call back. I gave up and was leaving and saw a young gentleman and asked him about wanting to buy a drill. He was not from the department but did page someone. Rosemary appeared and from that moment on was awesome to work with. I was walking out the door and this sale would of not happened if I did not try one more time. I was in a hurry and expected to spend only 10 to 15 minutes going in and buying a drill. It took me over 48 minutes to find help to make that purchase. I use Home Depot all the time. I have always loved that our store had people to help. Traveling around the state I always had a hard time getting help from other Home Depots. Our store in San Angelo has started to lose people from being able to help in the past year or few months. While I always use Home Depot, I am thinking about what to do in the future. I have rental properties and so I used it often. Might have to start using the other store that starts with "L." I left them for bad service, maybe they have improved. This review is from one visit, even though experiences in the past few months have been trending down from favorable.

The difference one employee can make… the Asian woman that works in appliances is phenomenal!

There were pallets of inventory in every other aisle. Employees were unfriendly, and there were no clerks to check out customers. Instead, employees stood and chatted among themselves, watching as if the customer was an employee to be graded on their performance.

I recommend everyone go to this particular store! Such wonderful people!!

People in San Angelo Home Depot are always helpful in a friendly way

We just moved into town and needed essentials for our apartment and I-San in the kitchen and bath area was super helpful and attentive to all our needs as well as aware of current promotions we could take advantage of .

Doing a diy project and had to go in with my 2 year old. Friendly associates made my experience amazing. Even helped me load up 1600lbs of concrete!

I went during the rush of black friday sales, not knowing where anything would be a few representatives actually walked me around and even showed me on the app how to find things. Once i was done, i got a speedy checkout!

GREAT EMPLOYEES! THEY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP ME FIND WHAT I NEED!

Employees standing around, no one offering assistance. Not even acknowledging a customer with so much as a simple "hello" (I passed 5 on my short visit). Checkout? What a joke. 2 cashiers standing at self check-out, literally just standing there. I certainly feel for senior shopper trying to figure out how to selfcheck-out, what an ordeal. Here's a thought, instead of having the customer awkwardly try to figure how to use the scanner and what the prompts on the screen mean exactly? Why not better let an employee stand behind the cash register, ring up a customer's purchases, thank them for their patronage and send them on their way?

The products are good it's just the customer service there is lacking in so many ways...... Plenty of associates walking around not knowing why they are even there!!!!!!! If you do talk to one of them, especially the younger ones........ They do not have a clue because they have never done any work outside or on anything but their cell phones!!!!!!

Daniel went above and beyond to find items and meet the needs I had. He made my shopping experience enjoyable. I will definitely return to this Home Depot.

Accolades to San Angelo employee Alexander for going above and beyond in helping us find items in the store. We asked 2 other employees who didn't know nor offered to help us. Alexander, when asked looked items up and walked us to 2 separate locations to find products. He also helped another customer as we were leaving. Every employee should be like him. We were almost ready to leave to go elsewhere, when we seen him and he helped us. Kuddos Alexander. 3rd Times a charm!

Betty in appliances was sooo patient with me in my selection of a counter-depth side by side refrigerator. Home Depot at least needs to buy her lunch :-)
