People are always friendly and helpful.

I was shopping for motion detection lights outside my garage. I didn't know where to find this product and which one best for my needs. Mirtha was in the lighting section and knew exactly where I could find the products. Then she helped me select the best light bulbs and even found a package that was on sale! Mirtha was cordial, very knowledgeable, and expedited my purchase process to find the best product at the best price! This store representative deserves a bonus for her product knowledge!

I would give this store ZERO stars if it were possible. My husband and I went into the store around 6:15am on Wednesday June 30, 2021. We figured we would beat the crowds and my husband wanted to take advantage of the "Ryobi Days" promotion. While he was able to get the batteries he wanted, the cordless grinder was no where to be seen. When he went to go ask an associate (that, mind you were all grouped together chatting), the individual who finally helped him kept pulling up the wrong tool. Finally, after several minutes of worthless searching, he said it was out of stock. We decided to make our way to the registers to check out. As we are ringing everything up, we noticed the weed killer that was supposed to be on sale was ringing up as full price. My husband called over the tall dirty-blonde adolescent associate who was assigned to the self check out. Our interaction went like this... "Excuse me, this is supposed to be on sale, there's a sign in front saying $10 off, but it's ringing up full price. Can you help adjust it?" "Well that's the price in the computer." "I see that, but there's a sign in front saying there's a sale." "Oh well." Irate, my husband walks back to the aisle and grabs the sign off the shelf. Upon returning to the check out, he shows the associate that the item is clearly on sale. "Well that's the price in the computer." "Can we speak to a manager please?" :::massive teenaged eye roll:::: "Sure, look around, I'm sure you'll find one" "How are we supposed to 'look around and find one'?? You want us to leave our items here and walk around the store??" At that point he went around the corner and asked a woman (who had been standing there watching the entire thing) to adjust the price. From then on he gave us the side eye from the opposite end of the self check out. We were absolutely floored by the complete lack of customer service. We will be going elsewhere.

Very helpful and knowledgeable people that work at the store.

Holly is a gem. She is one of the cashiers and has been at the store for over thirty years and used to be the head cashier. She can tell you where every little item can be found, what services the store offers, and provide suggestions for options to solve your home issue. She is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. What a welcome relief to have such customer support and assistance.

Home Depot makes it hard to transact business on the phone.However, the personnel in the store is helpful overall.

Gina stopped stocking shelves to assist with my questions and going the extra mile to take me to the specific paint selection panel and help with my specific application and my desire to have long lasting paint. Many people would not like to stop what they are doing but she was all smiles and helpful. makes the visit enjoyable.

Store is not laid out like any other Home Depot which makes it hard to find things. Generally employees are not willing to help you. Store is darker than most and not very clean.

They closed the pro door and shut down those registers at 5 pm. They force you to work as a cashier at the self checkout and reduce staff. This puts people out of work and they don't pay us to check ourselves out. I prefer the staff keep their jobs.

Store is dirty and unkept. Lumber stocks are stored in damp conditions. Cashiers don’t know their jobs. One left a security device on my purchase. Did not notice till I got home. Customer service charged me over $200 for a hand truck that was not with the box truck that I rented. Took three in person visits to get it fixed! When I told “Rain” that I would never shop here again, she said “no sweat off my back.” Her manager, Berta, acted like it was great benevolence that she refunded the rental fee after I insisted. Neither employee had any empathy that I had to return to their store and wait in a long line three times to resolve their mistake. To top it off, they even pointed me to the wrong box truck. I loaded up my lumber only to discover it was the wrong truck! So I had to reload my lumber on another truck. This store is run by amateurs who don’t care about their customers. I’m driving to Lowe’s the next time.

Not just friendly, knowledgable staff...but helpful too - from locating things, to advising, to loading the car. Keep up the great work!

I was sold 6' length of hose for installation service on new dishwasher. The original delivery/installation team needed a longer hose, and it looks like it will take several days to straighten out this simple roadblock. I expect the installation will eventually be just fine, but (1) sales folks should have asked about hose length required, (2) HD should change delivery/installation crew's objective to include dealing with common installation problems and should include common required parts on the truck. (3) Your computer/phone systems seem to me to be getting the way of giving your customers the best experience.

Maricarmen and every other Merrifield Home Depot associate I interacted with to a person (there were several), spontaneously and consistently went above and beyond to introduce themselves, understand my needs, and then effectively solve them more than I could have ever hoped. Their example is a model of what superior customer service is, and provides a fine example for other stores to follow. That is high praise because all of my experiences at every Home Depot is outstanding. Thanks Maricarmen and everyone at Merriield Home Depot for doing such fine work. I will be back often because of what you do, and how you do it.

I am a beginner in Gardening and I self-studied through many youtube video clips before I visit to the store. I had a list to buy, but I was totally lost what to buy and where to find it. Tim who was working at Garden department saw my struggling, and he showed me around the place to find, compared the products for my budget, helped me to load the heavy soil bags, and even helping the check out. He realized that I was not able to carry the heavy items myself, so he offered me to bring my car near the store, and he even unloaded to my car for me. I will definitely go back to this store. Excellent service experienced!

This is my favorite Home Depot Location (Merrifield). The associates are consistently helpful, friendly & knowledgeable.

Home Depot customer service is abismal. Employees are more interested in using their phones and conversing with one another than in helping customers.

I had great experience at this store. Albert went of his way to find the right tool for the job I was working on. He even got me a set with a battery and a warranty just in case I have any issues. I want to thank Albert and the rest of the Home Depot staff

As I have a difficulty walking returns are often a challenge. The staff at this store could not have been more helpful. This is a ‘go the extra mile’ kind of staff. Really really impressed with management.

AT THE CURRECT TIME, THIS STORE IS USING UNSAFE C-19 PRACTICES, AND I HAVE COMPLAINED SEVERAL TIMES, BOTH TO RMPLOYEES AND ONLINE, WITH NO CHANGE, AND NO RESPONCE, OVER THE PAST TWO MONTHS! CUSTOMERS ARE LINEED UP IN ONE LINE AT SELF SERVE REGISTERS, FORCED TO LINE UP DOWN A STOCK ISLE, FORCED TO PASS WITHIN 1~2 FEET OF EACH OTHER IN ORDER TO GET IN LINE! THERE ARE SIX SELF SERVE REGISTERS, YET ONE LINE FOR CUSTOMERS?!?! THIS IS THE ONLY STORE WITH THIS UNSAFE PRACTICE!

THE STORE EMPLOYEES ARE VERY RUDE AND THE RESTROOM IS UNHEALTHY.
