The store is fine. I own several apartment buildings in the area. I've been shopping there for the last 20 years. What I don't appreciate is the current assistant managers attitude (Oct 2020). I asked for help to find something and received an attitude from him. When I expressed my issue with his attitude he asked me to leave the store. He should learn to treat people with respect.

I usually HATE this location, but it's so much closer than other locations so I usually use it for online order deliveries that cannot be shipped to my home. I usually run into rude customer service and employees running away, with customer service being the exception. Per usual, the customer service area is undefeated. This is the only area that I like. Celeste went above and beyond to find an online package that'd gone missing, was professional, polite, cheerful and helpful. I really wish the people in the departments acted more like the people at Customer Service.

Still just as bad as bad as it was a year ago when I wrote a review for this location which was. Don't bother going hear unless you know exactly what you need or want.

Every time I go in here, the customer service is worse than the last time. The workers NEVER ever want to help the customers. I went in there fully prepared to grab an order at Customer Service (which is usually pretty good) and to buy deck screws. The worker in the "Screws" aisle at 10:45 a.m. would not make eye contact, kept directing me to "wood screws" without looking at the EXACT screws I pulled up on my phone (I'd ordered them online before). Finally he looked and realized I should have been in the Lumber aisle. Had he actually glanced at my phone and paid attention to me repeatedly saying "Simpson's" we could've resolved this earlier, so he could go back to ignoring customers and climbing on the ladder. Then I went to Lumber, and one of the workers did help. He asked if I was fixing a deck. I said, "Yep." I thought, "OK, this customer service wasn't so bad. He actually was helpful." Then I hear, "Make sure YOU come back again" all creepy AH. I don't need the extra sauce. Just help me find the item and leave it at that. This was as annoying as the worker in the tile aisle who wanted to know who I lived with when I asked about cleaning certain kinds of tiles. He kept asking who else lived in my home and what books I like to read. The customer service here is trash 100% of the time. At this point, I just want to order everything online so I never have to interact with the employees. The Evanston location is never like this. Your store goes from being creepy to just flat-out dismissive, as though women couldn't possibly know exactly the hardware supplies we need.

Dean rocks. Associates like him give Home Depot a much more upscale, professional profile. He's not the only rockin associate at this store, I just haven't noted others' names.

The associates were most helpful and answered all questions that I had. Was given information concerning differences in various products which I appreciate.

This store just always leave much to be desired. Sometimes the Customer Service reps are super friendly and professional and nice. But in the past week, I had one sales rep who refused to look anything up, just stared at an empty rack and told me "Your item could be anywhere." I told him I was going to Evanston then where they had five (instead of one) of my item, and he shrugged and said, "Five seems safe." Then I went in there another day and two cashiers were joking about how one "looks like a r-a-p-i-s-t." (I am only spelling it out because ironically this website won't allow me to just type the word as is, which probably means your store clerks shouldn't be joking about it.) There is almost a 99.9% percent chance that I'll get better customer service (and sales reps who are willing to actually use the ladder to find inventory) in Evanston. At this location, it's more like 50%.

Big Cliff is an asset to this store! Very helpful and his cuts are spot on!!!

The worse customer service I've ever experienced.

Wish I could give a negative rating. Everything was bad at this store. Rude and unfriendly staff(Except Rupert). I have been struggling to get the carpet installed for the last 2 weeks, every step in the process has been a struggle so far, I am day at day 17 and I am still trying to figure out whats the hold up for even after paying $1500 plus. I have made atleast 15 calls to the customers service and the store and atleast transfered to 30 different people. I was lucky to be transfered to the store manager, but she transfered me to someone else in 15 seconds. I have never had such a bad shopping experience ever, I am still holding strong and keeping my calm to get things resolved.

Very good, very busy place. Lots of stuff always available.

This store needs to do a better job with basic health safety during the pandemic. They are not enforcing social distancing and masks by customers or employees. Employees were not remaining behind their plexiglass, some had masks below their noses, they were not 6 ft from each other or customers. Overall felt like the most unsafe store I've been to since the pandemic started in March.

Considering I have absolutely no knowledge of finding the things on my list for my home the employees were very friendly and very very helpful. I will definitely be back to get my long vertical blinds and bedroom blinds, and I know I will get the help I need to buy the correct product.

Best customer service by employee Rupert McKenzie! This guy should be mayor of all Home Depot’s. Everyone was pretty nice, store is easy to get through and management was nice. I don’t mind driving the extra miles to get there.

Kimy was the best employee! She prioritized our needs and helped us in a timely manner. I would recommend you visit this store if you want a quick and efficient visit.

Alexandra in RETURNS has an attitude and avoid her at all cost! She threw the money in my hand and ignored me trying to thank her! She was very uncourteous!

Customer service was the only ones that did their job. Assistant Manager Dean let me know how irritated he was assisting me. Hard ware associates gave wrong information and never showed up to provide assistance after several attempts by Customer Service to get help.

I would still recommend the store and the employees are friendly but i ordered a 4 by 8ft lattice online, which said it was ready for pick up, but ended up getting a 2 by 8ft and was told the other one was probably not available and so i got a 2 by 8ft, even though the receipt the employee had said 4 by 8ft. Probably there was a mix up. I ended up getting a refund but i wished they emailed me saying it ran out before i waoted 3 days to pick it up.

Waited 20+ min for help getting a mower. Had to ask 4 separate employees for help, and eventually asked for a manager (who never showed up). The first guy I asked for help kept coming back to try and instigate/escalate an argument while I waited. Is that really how you treat customers? I get that everyone is on edge with all that is going on, but this was ridiculous, and you should be ashamed.

Located on Devon next to the Post Office and Sprint, Home Depot gives the worst customer service from all 3 places.

Staff was helpful and shelves were well stocked. We found what we were looking for.

The day I last visited was during the COVID 19 pandemic. I appreciate that the store is open and well stocked but not all staff were wearing masks. Why isn't it required?

Excellent Customer service. Very Friendly Employees. I found what I was looking for easily.

Utter incompetence on every level, especially the Pro Desk. I placed a custom lumber order on Wednesday and was told I could come pick it up on Saturday. That Saturday morning, I waited over 45 minutes at the Pro Desk to be helped because they messed up someone else's order. When I finally got served, I'm told my order wasn't completed and the saw was now out of order. I waited another hour while the rep figured out how to enter my order. Diane was very nice, but everyone was helpless.

I walked in with a mission to get a fan their website said this store had 5 in stock. I arrive and roam around looking for it on my own before asking an associate named Claudia in the Appliance/Cabinet area where I might find my fan. She told me, "We don't have any yet as they haven't been shipped since it is a summer item." I stated to her the website states there are 5 in stock and she told me, "The website was incorrect." I defeated begin to walk to the exit and spot another associate whose name I did not get. He also stated, "we don't have them in yet." As I am walking to the exit i decide to ask one more person. He looks at the item on my phone and looks it up on his device. Finds they have 5 in stock and calls on the radio to Edwin. We go meet Edwin and Dean tells Edwin they would be in the storage area above plumbing. Edwin and I walk over and he sees them. He goes to get the ladder and gets my fan for me. Since I have my fan and am happy I also picked up a new shower head, Broom and Mop. A $121 sale that almost walked out the door thanks to Claudia. Thanks to Dean and Edwin for assisting in finding what I needed.

This is my Toy Store!!!!

Went into this store to buy screws and lumber for a project. There were NO wood screws in the store. I asked a staff person. She pointed me to where they were supposed to be. When I told her I already looked there, she shrugged. I asked someone else, and that person acknowledged they weren't there, but didn't know why. A third person finally told me wood screws were unavailable because they were rearranging things.

They dont allow returns without receipt at all even with ID for store credit eventhough the return policy says items without receipt will be returned for store credit using ID

The employees here are friendly and helpful. The store is generally clean and orderly and well stocked. The one thing I don't like is there are too many self checkouts. I don't like those anywhere.
