Great store with great staff!

I have shopped at various Home Depot stores. they all carry same items. However, this branch, #1017 Hayward, has a good number of employees that deliver outstanding customer service.

The store is organized and the staff is all very friendly. Theres one line for all the checkouts which actually made it easier and we got to the checkstand very fast. Ami rang us up and she was very friendly, helpful and informative. Found everything we needed fast and even got a cute little tree for the holidays.

They didn't want to give me my money back and were dishonest about sending someone to inspect the toilets in my house. They never came and I was in my house all day the day that they scheduled. They took $50 for an inspection person they said came but was impossible because I took a day off work. I payed $983.95 and got back only $883.95....

Store is clean and bright. Paint dept. employee mixed paint to the sample provided. Checkout was friendly.

It's very convenient. I buy a lot of my home hardware and garden items at this store. My only complaint is that Home Depots in general are necessarily so big. It might be better to divide the store so that contractors would use one entrance and home improvement/general use people would use another. I'm not sure if that's a good idea but it seems like it would make it easier to get in and out for smaller purchases.

I have never seen quite so many employees having a good time , being silly, talkin loud , holding onto each other ,and not paying attention to customers during all this behavior. Most of the employees that were doing this were in the return area of the store. It was about 15 minutes before closing. I understand they probably wanted to go home or go out and do something but probably at that time they should have been helping to get customers helped, maybe cleaning up their area there and making their self busy so it looked like they were working instead of having a party. I did notice that the employees that were working in the aisles and the employees that were working at the cashier stations ( the lady who helped me is Sandra with that name on smock)- we're doing their work by helping people, working in the aisles with their inventory and had a much more responsible style of work than the employees in the return center of the store. I was very grateful before I even entered the store to be able to put my bicycle outside the front door and over by a check-in Clerk. I was also very grateful that the security guard that was on duty stayed outside until I came out to the area where my bike was. I said I was surprised that he was there and he said he stayed because he wanted to keep an eye on my bicycle. I was appreciative of that!! I did find the products I wanted, but I felt the employees in the return area were less than responsible.

This particular Home Depot had very helpful employees working there. I did not have to look around for someone to help me, which is not always the case. Appreciate their knowledge within their department and overall friendliness.

If you re in the store and looking for help, find CARL! He is great, has a smile on his face and will assist you when others ignore you. Tracey in Customer Service is very helpful. She will get the job done.

Store was messy. Stock of power tools I wanted was poor and display units chained down so tightly it was impossible to evaluate them. Felt very unsafe: lots of improper masking among employees and no apparent attempt being made to enforce proper masking on customers. Don't normally shop at this location; won't do so again. (Should mention: I like Home Depot. Just not this one.)

I came in with the intentions of getting a washer. I was helped by a great employee where I got the washer by the back area he educated us how to install the proper wires and gave us a quote which then he printed out a receipt that we could scan in self check out to purchase the washer. The line was very long and right when I got in the front of the line some elderly Caucasian employee yelled “ woo what are you doing with the washer?!” Like what do you think we are going to do with it STEAL IT?! I calmly asked her what did she mean? Then she stated “if we bought it?!” I responded with “that is what we are doing we have the right paperwork to just scan it and go, is there something we are doing wrong?!” She then ignore that and walked away she humiliated me and my partner both young Latinos was it because of my color of our skin that she thought I was going to steal it?! Or what?! So much confusion in me at that moment.. instead of her being “hey there do you guys need to purchase the washer or? I can assist you at this cashier,etc” but no not at all was that the case. This was such a disappointing and humiliating experience I loved shopping at Home Depot but this experience just made rethink of looking for somewhere else to shop. Definitely recommend to teach your employees the proper way to handle situations not just critique someone by the way they look and automatically think they are stealing, etc.

Store is clean and neat,just need more value pricing and promotions,customer service are on top.

We were looking for a dishwasher. I had done my homework, so we knew pretty much what we were looking for. In the kitchen section, we found the dishwasher we wanted. A sales person was available to help us and checkout and scheduling went very smoothly. All in all, it was a positive experience and I would shop here again.

So happy that the Home Depot employees are reporting to work and risking their lives and the lives of friends and family to service others.

Worked well for me, but didn't have a full variety of the plants I wanted, got some but not all I was looking for, maybe later will have more stock.
