Stop by and visit Stan "The Man" in major home appliances. He is truly a gem and a great guy! Actually, everyone is eager assist when you need it and give you their absolute best to help you make informed, intelligent decisions.

I ordered a vertical patio door blind with the help of James who is very knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend the window blind dept to my friends, because of the excellent service I received.

Dan the man in appliances is very helpful. Dick in electrical was most helpful as well.

I did research in advance at Home Depot website so I had knowledge of appliances now available. That wasn’t necessary, Stan was very thorough. So thanks again Stan your help made my decision easy.

PURCHASED A CHEST FREEZER. GOT IT HOME, INSTALLED AND RUNNING. WHEN I SAW SOMETHING ON THE LID AND WIPED MY HAND OVER IT, IT WAS OVERSPRAY!. THE LID HAD A LONG SCRATCH IN IT AND WAS SPRAY PAINTED OVER WITH A SPRAY CAN. THE WHOLE LID IS COVERED IN OVER SPRAY. CALLED CUST SERV ONLY TO BE TOLD TO FAX OR EMAIL RECEIPT. I HAVE NO FAX AND NO SCANNER TO EMAIL IT. ANY OTHER TIME IVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH A PURCHASE I JUST GAVE THEM THE INFO OFF THE RECEIPT ON THE PHONE. THE GIRL WAS VERY RUDE AND SAID "DONT YOU HAVE A SMART PHONE" I SAID, YES BUT I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THE TO DO THAT. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY CONTACT INFO, OTHER THAN THIS FORUM TO CONTACT ABOUT A PROBLEM. The staff at this store are amazing, I have had a great experience just about every time I have gone in there, each department helps and answers my questions. My recent visit was on doors, and Steve at the door department is an awesome employee and I will totally recommend him to anyone I know that is in need of a door, very experienced, friendly and good guy to work with. Thanks Steve for you do man, Store 1922 is lucky to have you!

I have been shopping at this Home Depot since it opened. While I have always had good experiences at every visit, today the employee who helped me, Dorothy Taylor, Flooring Specialist, went above and beyond all expectations and deserves recognition for her exemplary service and positive demeanor. I so appreciate her time and effort in helping me today.

Ordered and paid for removal and installation of a dishwasher on 09/01/2017 When Home Depot delivery men came out. First thing they said was (we have to remove old dishwasher?). Than they said that we can not install dishwasher that we need a plumber. We called and cancelled the above order and sent a survey to Home Depot. Gurnee manager said he was to call us (he never did). We went to another store ordered and they came out and removed old and installed new dishwasher. (100% Excellent) as Home Depot said they could not do. We are still waiting for our refund as of today 09/21/2017

What is normally not a fun experience was quite enjoyable today, due to 2 terrific employees who gave us superb customer service!

Deneane Bradtke, Design Consultant at the Gurnee, Il. store, acknowledged me as soon as I entered the Kitchen dept.! She took the time to answer the questions I had and made me feel instantly comfortable by the way she responded to each question. Question was thoroughly answered! She was highly professional, thoughtful in adding suggestions, polite in manner and tone, extremely knowledgeable about the products (cabinet construction & choices) and was beyond patient! Deneane was by far the reason we decided to make our cabinet, countertop, cabinet hardware, flooring and paint purchase with Home Depot. She made great suggestions after hearing our wants and needs and seemed to go the extra mile to make sure that we were comfortable with the designs she proposed. Her follow up was also A+.

We'd purchased string lights for our deck. It wasn't until they were installed that we realized we had a bad bulb...and no easy way to uninstall and return the entire string. So I went back to Home Depot with just my receipt and the bad bulb, and I was delighted with how they handled it! During the same visit, I was looking for something that was out of stock on the shelf. An associate asked if I needed help, and he was able to find the item somewhere else in the store. Another customer service win!
