I went into Home Depot to buy a shop vac, and when I went to pay at the self register and realized it was the wrong one. So I went to get the correct one and to pay for it at the self check again. Associate Valerie told me I wasn't allowed to use the self check, I had to relocate and go to a physical person. As I paid with my pin number and ATM card, Valerie rushes over to the cashier and tells him to ask for my ID. He said no she's paying with ATM and she goes we're being asked to ask for ideas. I showed my ID of course. As I was walking out I realized, as a 42-year-old white woman that I had never actually been against, but now knew what it felt like. The only reason she thought I was stealing was because my hair wasn't brushed and I was wearing old jeans. She thought I was poor. So is this how the store treats poor people? When I explained what happened to the manager, I said I can't imagine how she treats Black people, or other minorities.

I was purchasing a gift card. The cashier was very helpful and pleasant.

I found the assistance and knowledge base at this store is above average which always is a good thing!

My over all experience at the Folsom store was pleasant. The cashier, Deborah is a "keeper".

I love this Home Depot it's so well stock and clean. Plus it has friendly and very helpful employees. I am disable and had a list of items to get. I showed my list to and employee and she gave me the isle they were on. Then I needed tile the gentleman went outside got the right cart and loaded 13 case of tile on it. When I got to the check out area the lady was friendly help me get the cart to the check out and called for helpers to load my car then rang me up. Before she was fish ringing me up the 2 gentleman was there to help go to my car. Before I left the checker and manger help explain what to do if I get home and discover any broken tile and how to get it replaced. Its definitely worth the long trip from Ione to Folsom when I get treated this good and the store is so well stock.

Steve (JR) showed me to the product i needed and advised me on it. Ruth the cashier was very friendly and i felt at ease with her. We discussed my military experience. She showed interest. A special person.

The is my first amazing experience with the Home Depot in Folsom so I wanted to share with everyone. I was looking for a flooring option that could be temporarily laid down on cement for an outdoor tap dance performance - YES TAP DANCING. An amazing associate by the name of Nick in flooring immediately had a solution to meet my needs and an affordable product recommendation. I purchased one box to "try it out" - and it WORKED. I returned to purchase 36 more boxes of which he helped me find quickly and even loaded in my car - he said "That's what we are here for" - wow what a breath of fresh air to get incredible service start to finish. Nick thank you for your dedication and customer service!!!

Will sell out of stock item which they originally said was in stock and charge your credit card the $1000 and waste your time waiting for said item which they do not have!!

The cashier Melanie was very rude to me while i was checking out. You guys should train your cashiers to have better attitudes after all they are the last face a customer sees when they check out and if its a bad experience you wont be getting returning customers. Please address the importance of good customer service! Having a good attitude is a major role working in customer service. Thank you.

Horrible . I went to Home depot in Folsom And I had to make a Return . Well I misplaced my Receipt and It just so happens it was over a month ago and I paid cash . So I go to the customer service counter and they refused my return . Gave me a number to Call. Online it CLEARLY STATES WITH A VALID ID WITHIN A TIME WINDOW UP TO A CERTAIN AMMOUNT ITS ALL GOOD FOR A STORE CREDIT .I HAVE NEVER MADE A RETURN WITHOUT A RECEIPT TO HOME DEPOT BUT NOW IM HAVING TO JUMP THREW HOOPS TO GET HELPED . WON'T COME HERE EVER AGAIN.

How can you have a lifetime warranty on a hand tool and not have that product in stock. The other big box hardware store does. Too many times this store is out of what I am looking for. Too many employees do not know where things are or where they might be found.

Seems like most store locations are the same when it comes to the lack of customer assistance - you need to know what you are going in for. HD has made it easier by finding the location and availability of the item on your phone through the HD website. Even easier if you check it out from the comfort of your home first. Although some associates are willing to assist customers, most don't really seem to know the location of store items. It is not that they don't want to help, they just don't seem to be familiar with the store itself.
