The Store needs to keep open all available cashiers and self check out pay machines. The store needs to keep hand sanitazers on each cashier and self checkout cashiers machines. No one is answering the store phone to respond to calls from customers. I believe Home Depot can do a better job on the self checkout payment machines and cashuers attendants.

If you need help, go to Trang or Ruby! They are so sweet and will really help and also hold a conversation while checking you out. Sabina or Sabrina, the head cashier, was rude and oftentimes, you can see her discriminating against her cashiers. It’s America in 2020; let’s be kind. Overall, love this store!

I had the worse experience EVER at the Home Depot located on 2855 Story Road in San Jose, CA. I was so excited to go into the store and buy my necessities during the Shelter in Place. One of the items I bought was a closet wooden rod, but because it was not the right size, I needed it cut. I asked one associate if they are currently cutting wood and she said "no". However, she did mention there was a "do it yourself" cutting area. Since I am not very handy with hardware equipment, before I started scanning my items at Self Check-out, I asked the associate if they were currently cutting and he said "yes", which was a different answer that the first associate I asked. I head down to the cutting area and there was no one there, but I saw two associates chatting and I asked if someone can assist with cutting the wood I purchased. They replied "sure, we will get someone". I noticed someone was already waiting for his closet rod to be trimmed also. He told me he has been waiting for a long time and they already called someone. Probably 5-7 minutes later, no one was still there. I heard them call for help over the PA system, but no associate came over. The gentleman said he was going to ask for help. Again, I heard them calling for assistance in lumber. No one came, so there were two other associates coming towards us and the gentleman asked if someone can assist. One of the gentleman looked around to see if there was someone from lumber. He could not locate someone so he said he would call someone. He was able to find someone: Allen Cook. The gentleman was showing Allen where to cut the rod and etc, but Allen's response was "hold on, I want to take my time"...which I understood because he was going to be operating on an equipment that could be dangerous and he wanted to get the measurement right. Now, comes to my turn. I had brought my old closet rod to show Allen that I need the "new" rod cut an inch more than what I brought. As I was showing Allen...he said, "did you go to school?" and added "I know you went to school". As I was going to answer him and explain to him....he said "whoa wait"...what do you want? I was going to show him on his measuring tape what I wanted, but he replied with "what do you want"...I told him that the old rod was 5' 3/8" long, but I wanted 1 in over that. He went ahead and measured 5' 3/8" anyways and marked the rod, but I told him, "no, that is not the measurement I want" so Allen went ahead and stepped back and said, "okay show me"..."go ahead and measure it" and he was already showing attitude, so I replied with "hold on, let me take my time"...same exact thing he said to the first customer. I went ahead and marked the rod and he went ahead and cut the rod. When I got the rod back, I compared it to the old rod and it was the same measurement, the 5' 3/8", but I told him this is wrong because I wanted it 1in over that....the measurement I "marked" on the rod. Allen started blaming me that I gave the wrong measurement. I told him, "why would I have you cut the same size as the one I am showing you from what I brought at home when I said I wanted it an inch over". He was very rude and not until I said I want to speak to a manager was when he said go ahead and grab another rod so he can cut it. There was another gentleman waiting for his turn and I showed him and he agreed. I have a picture of what he marked and what I marked for proof. I grabbed another rod, but I guess Allen needed to drive the fork lift. So instead of saying, "hello, I will be back"...he went ahead and went about his day. I went ahead and cut my own rod in their "do it yourself" area. Allen was the rudest associate and I will never forget this.

We are in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. NONE of this store's staff were wearing masks (May 2). Clearly a management decision. This is NOT what a good community partner company does. The need/benefit for everyone (store personnel and customers) to wear masks when they are out in public and interacting with people is undeniable. ALL science and medicine commentary is clear on this. There are other home and garden centers near this Home Depot store and many online options. I will not shop in this store until they correct this. Be safe by shopping at stores that do practice the recommended health measures.

Suggest you do like costco and have to take a card to cahier to get merchandise. wasted about an hour tracking down someone to help. AND then they carry the merchandise to the main cashier area that has a giant long line.

The Store Manager is not helpful at all. I have returns that got denied, not because I do not have a receipt but because they say I paid with a store credit and credit card. They should have informed me when I purchased the items that doing combination payment will impact returns. I ask if at least they can take the plywood and 2x4s, but they were not helpful. I pleaded with the Manager if he can help me with my request, so that I do not have to load and unload, and then load and unload again when my dispute is approved. But the Manager is unconcerned, and didn't even bother to say "sorry we can't" and just instructed an employee to help me out of the store and load. What is the point of having a manager that can't make customers satisfied and helped. And I was not even asking to make an exemption for all my returns, just the bulky and heavy wood. This happened on 3/30/2020 in the morning.

This is feedback for Marley in the Grill/Garden Department. Marlay helped me choose a BBQ with a related analogy that put things into perspective as well as walking me around the front of the store and inside to see which grill suits my needs. I came in the next day after mulling it over to purchase it in person and placed an order at the order/return area. As I placed my order, I confirmed with twice with the cashier (Tracy I believe was the name) that the grill would be assembled and delivered to my home on Father's Day, as well as a filled propane tank. The next day I tracked my order and saw that the grill would not be delivered on Father's Day, propane tank would be empty, the grill itself would not support propane (but natural gas instead). After chatting on the Home Depot site for over an hour, I was directed to call the store and got in contact with Marlay. She remembered who I was (amazing by the way) and she was able to piece together the issue even before I had a chance to fully explain. She immediately took her time to talk me through what she was able to do to help fix the errors. After about an hour conversation, she assured me that I would receive the correct grill at a confirmed date and that it would come assembled. The grill arrived today and I wanted to acknowledge Marley's excellent service with my issues. She turned a nightmare experience into relief and I will definitely come back in store fore future needs. Hopefully she will be there so I can thank her in person. Thank you Marley for resolving the negative situation that neither of us had control over!!! :)
