The store manager, Chris, went above and beyond to come up with a total solution to a washer & dryer issue we had due to our reading the specifications on only one of the units, not both units. His service was truly exemplary.

Store is always neat and clean and the staff goes above and beyond helping me find what I need for each job which makes sure they will always be my number one choice for home improvement needs.

I had a vanity shipped to the store and called to return it. Brian in online ordering was very short and rude. Never said anything along the lines of helping me. His sentences were one words. Get employees who care about helping people because this was worse than a cable company phone call!

The Home Depot in Champaign is an excellent store. I am always appreciative of workers at the "Big Box" stores who know a lot about their products. The stores are so big and the staffs are so large that I think it is unusual to get dependable advice. But at this Home Depot, I was helped by Chris in the lawn mower section who impressed me as the most knowledgable young man I ever came across. He has a 2nd job in lawn service and he owns both the Toro and the Honda mowers I was considering. So he had all sorts of insight to share for my buying decision.

Every six months or so, for the last ten years, I've had to call the manager of this store and report how poorly I had been treated by employees, how poorly trained the employees are and today, how my on-line order, that was reported to me to be "ready and at the Customer Service desk" was lost and no one could find it. I was encouraged to be patient, by the blonde man at the desk and told "we're doing the best that we can". I asked if I could help them look or if a manager could help out, but he just wanted me to be patient. I was told to wait out front and the order would be brought to me. After 20 minutes and the order was found, I was told to drive around to the side of the garden center, where my small order, that could have been rolled up to the On-line pick-up area, was shrink wrapped on a pallet. After borrowing an employee"s knife to free the items, I loaded the car, 30 minutes after signing for my "fast and easy" prepaid order pick-up. The customer service guy told me that the young lady in lawn and garden was fairly new and might need a while to find the order. Not enough training and not enough manager oversight is the problem here. I shop at this store because it is convenient. I'm getting so tired of shopping at all kinds of businesses and giving them my money, only to be treated dismissively, with disrespect, or having to do some of the employee's or manager's job in order to complete the transaction. Somebody, please step-up and do a good job, for a change.

All went fine. Rarely use restroom, did today and it was clean. Helpful clerk today.

I went to pick up a dishwasher during their red white and blue sale and the customer service was less than satisfactory. I walked in knowing exactly what i wanted because I had done my own research at home. Upon arriving in the kitchen department I was looking to find the one I wanted and was greeted by the rep for that department. She was not very personable to begin with but I told her what I wanted and asked if they had any in stock that I could take home today. She was a little snippy with me when she said they don't keep very many in stock so she would have to find out. She came back with a "yes they had a couple in stock" so I asked if someone would be able to get it down for me. She said she would go find someone and walked away. When she came back she said "it will be a while" and never spoke to me again. She then began helping other customers so i was never able to check to see how long it would be after i waited for over 30 minutes. Another rep showed up off of her lunch break and asked if i was doing ok and i told her i was waiting and had been here a while. She told me she would check to see if they had gotten it down yet and left. She returned about 10 minutes later and told me they were getting ready to get it down and that i could go wait by the car for it. When i told her i hadn't paid yet she got upset because apparently the lady that helped me before should have checked me out so that i was ready to go once they got the dishwasher down. Fast forward to check out- they rang me up with a total i was not expecting so i told her i think they got me the wrong one down because that was no where near the price I should have been paying. The cashier paged the department and the rep came up to check it for me and indeed was the wrong one. So I waited another 30+ minutes for them to get me the right one down so that I could go home. What in reality should have been about a 20 to 30 minute task turned into an over 2 hour ordeal. Overall it was not a very good experience and i have had much better customer service in the past. I would still recommend this store because i have had good experience before but i would like them to know that their kitchen department on 7/4/19 did not provide me with very good service.

Good staff, easy to communicate just need more employees to help customers

We were SO excited to finally embark on a complete kitchen remodel ...we shopped around and thought that Home Depot was offering the best products at competitive prices, we got good advice on the design. After months of being entrenched in this project I can tell you that having a designer tell you what to order without ever seeing your space is not a good idea. Not having done a complete overhaul before we didn't know what questions to ask -- shame on us I guess. The overall design was fine...letting us order a refrigerator that was too big for the space and had to be returned, lying to us about qualifying for a large rebate, etc. ....while I will eventually love my new kitchen I will never get the bad taste out of my mouth about how we've been treated ever since they got our money. The store manager's refusal to offer any kind of compromise is unbelievable. Once this project is paid off I will cut up my HD card and will never step foot in that store again -- too bad, it's been our go to store for everything related to our home. until now

The employees are helpful , friendly and know there products. If they don't know the answer they go out of there way to get you an answer .It's a family store kids and dogs are welcome.

The store was stocked well, the associates were very friendly, helpful, and wanted to make sure my needs were met. I was assisted my many employees throughout my trip and all of my needs were met. Thank you all for your exceptional customer service.

This is the best home improvement store in Champaign Illinois. Don't waste your time going to any of their competitors.

Kawana (probably mispelled) (Sales Person PXW3761) took my online order for a dishwasher for my daughters' house. She was very efficient and courteous and made my purchase very easy and quick. Champaign Home Depot should be proud to have someone like her representing their appliance department.

Overall, the employees are more helpful than at the other local big box stores. There is room for general improvement, but they do have some great employees that I have encountered on several recent visits. Also, Home Depot offers a 10 percent discount to military & veterans which we appreciate. Thank you.

Every time I go to Home Depot I know I can get whatever assistance I need -- but, when I just want to browse, employees are happy to step aside and let me wander the aisles as long as I want to!

The pro department is very knowledgeable and helpfull. Denise always helps our crews get what they need to get back to the site quickly and with the proper materials.

Great assistance and choices on appliances

OMG!!! Went to this store twice in two weeks, once with my cousin and once by myself. We were lucky enough to run into Greg who helped us to find exactly the right items that we needed for our Christmas gifts. He was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful and was able to explain things to us, to take us directly to the things on our list as well as other potential ideas for great Christmas gifts! He saved us both a ton of time, helped to educate us on some serious power tools and to make our visit a great one! The store was clean, everyone we talked to was friendly and even the cashiers were more than helpful printing out gift tickets.

Marilyn was very helpful in finding the right refrigerator for me. She went out of her way to check the heights and explain what was going to work best for me.

Both employees that helped me were very friendly and took their time helping me. Rick on the floor and Dora was my cashier.

Although my experience was not a well received one on my last visit to home depot, I really don't have anything bad to say about the store or the people. Every time I've been there it has been a great experience. This particular time I had my 82 yr. Old mother with me and we had to end up waiting for help a lot longer than anticipated. Was definitely not happy about that. But other than that, it was a great experience as usual!
