HOME DEPOT SHOULD ACCEPT FORM DD-214 AS EVIDENCE OF MILITARY SERVICE.

Hard to find help in the store. Cashiers rude and unhelpfull.

I wish they’d hire more helpful, friendly faces like Emma! She’s always eager to greet customers and so easy to talk to! Keep it up Emma and spread that morale!

Items were easy to find. Yet there still wasn't enough product but everything is good

This weekend gave me a surprising and interesting look inside the complex interpersonal dynamics between store #0373's employees. I visited this particular location twice within 24 hours. Both times I needed help from an employee. Both times, the same person helped me. Her name was Amanda. I'm sure that my perception is limited, but to me it seemed that this one employee was almost single-handedly holding down most of the actual physical work at the store. My first visit was last night, a couple hours before closing. As I was searching for my items, a few of the shelves were poorly stocked, and I left still missing a few items because of this. Maybe this was a logistics issue, but I did notice plenty of product sitting in boxes on the ground, waiting to be shelved and faced. It was telling that in the ten or so isles I perused, Amanda was the only employee who was stocking. Later during that visit, when I needed to be let into the cage to buy a power tool, Amanda was the only person I could find. Fast forward to my visit to day around noon, the store is far more busy, but it's almost the same exact scene. There were employees seemingly thronged around the Customer Service desk and Checkout area, but few seemed to be that busy. When I was checking out, I literally noticed a check stand employee standing at the front of their empty check isle, pirouetting. I have nothing against dancing at work, but there were definitely people needing help. Meanwhile, I'm actively seeing customers wandering around looking for employees in the isles. I paced around searching while my ride waited for me, tapping their foot. I finally found an orange vested beacon of hope, at the end of an isle, helping a family make copies of keys. Lo and behold, it was Amanda again. I waited around for her to finish with the other customers, then asked her to help me cut some chain. She promptly measured and cut the length I needed, but then we had another SNAFU, as there were no bags or paper checkout slips stocked, so she couldn't write out the checkout information for my chain. She had to dig through some boxes to find extra slips, mentioning out loud that there are supposed to be some there with the clip board. It's worth noting that she conducted herself with composure and professionalism the whole time. When I got to Checkout area (carrying the chain awkwardly in-hand, as we never found any bags), I couldn't help but overhear an older white female employee complaining loudly. She seemed to be upset about an issue involving how early she had to arrive at work. This was baffling to me. I was inconvenienced by having to wait to be helped, and here is an employee who has time to stand around and complain to another employee in front of customers. It was also somewhat telling that this person was questioning the judgement of having to "get to work at 5:45 when we don't open until 8:00." To me, stocking checkout slips and bags for the chain section is definitely the kind of thing that you might want to do in those hours before the store opens. I'm at this store regularly, and often the employees are very friendly. It was just very interesting to me that this one person working there seemed to be carrying so much of the burden this weekend, while others idled or griped. For what it's worth, I'll mention here that I run a donation-based bicycle shop in New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward, focused on repurposing and repairing bikes for youths and people experiencing homelessness. We patronize this store often, and if there are any programs geared toward non-profit programs, bulk-buying benefits, etc, I'd love to hear about them.

THIS STORE WAS GREAT TO SHOP AT. I DEALT WITH A MANAGER NAMED "MICK". HE LISTENED TO MY PROBLEM AND QUICKLY CAME UP WITH A SOLUTION. MY SHOPPING EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS STORE.

The service at this location is always friendly and the store is very clean. In my opinion, the Chalmette location Nailed It!!!

Clean and convenient

Best experience I have ever had at Home Depot, Ms Chea is adorable, pleasant and entertaining, full of personality, which is plus. Ms Chea is attentive, knowledgeable and she is an asset to Home Depot. She deserves a reward, I will definitely be coming back soon.

The store was clean and enough service members were visible for assistance.

Your cashier made my experience very enjoyable. She helped with my returns and pinpointed where to go for other materials I needed. Twila you have great customer service and a beautiful smile. I will definitely be returning!

Crissy and Robin were amazingly kind and very helpful, 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for home improvement items and ideas.

We really need this store here in Chalmette and It was the first one after Katrina the people are friendly and very helpful and the store is stocked well. the service desk people are wonderful and kind.

Keyiana the cashier was very nice and tried to apply a discount for the damaged carton on the ceiling fan I purchased, she advised me because of covid 19 I would have additional time should there be a problem with my purchase.

This Store is the worst Home Depot I have Ever been in. NO HELP FROM ANYONE. CASHIER WOULDN'T EVEN TALK TO ME. I'M AN 81 YEAR OLD WHITE MAN, ALL BLACK EMPLOYEES, ALL IGNORED ME. SAD, SAD. I'M A CHRISTIAN, A VETERAN, AND AN AMERICAN PATRIOT. I SERVED THIS COUNTRY WITH HONOR AND WOULD DO IT AGAIN. THESE YOUNG PEOPLE NEED TO BE EDUCATED ABOUT HONOR AND RESPECT.

The store is fine. I've patronized this location many times and, typically, leave as a satisfied customer. However, BEWARE of appliance delivery through their partner--Freight Rite, Inc. Go lookup the Google Reviews yourself (1.8 stars ta the time of this review). And, so far, they're fully affirming that rating. The delivery truck arrived during scheduled time window (7:30-11:30a on 03-JUL), but didn't have my appliance on their truck. Their immediate reaction was aggravation that they'd have to drive all the way back across town. I told them no worries--I had taken off work and would be home all day to receive the shipment later in the day. Ten minutes after they left my house, the driver called me and asked if I "really needed" the appliance today. I told him yes and that my wife & I have multiple children whose laundry need be done over the weekend. Feeling concerned that they simply did not want to deliver my purchased product because of the inconvenience to them (to have to drive back across town twice), I decided to call my local Home Depot. The local representative gave me the phone number to Freight Rite. I called Freight Rite. The associated I spoke to ensured me that my appliance would be on their "second" delivery today. Six hours later, someone from their corporate office called me to tell me the local warehouse is already closed for holiday (at 2:30p). I spoke to their Operations Manager, Tim, who essentially told me "we're at the mercy of the delivery drivers" ... so, I should've known better earlier this morning when the driver called me back asking me if I "really needed" my purchased product today. I hope my experience is a tale of CAUTION for any other prospective buyers who might consider purchasing an appliance through Home Depot using Freight Rite as their delivery company! There is always someone willing to assist you from the moment you walk in the door. Scott, Asst. Manager and Cindy, Cashier, always make a bad day a little bit better.

Your store is always clean and organized. Finding materials sometimes is a little difficult but I am always able to locate an employee with their orange aprons with their names on them. I use your store for almost all of my home and construction needs.

Family oriented, great service.
