        When I pulled into the parking lot I needed a cart where I could stand up greenboard. I saw a team member, who not only brought me the cart, but assisted me in unloading the truck of the greenboard and other items. When leaving he asked me to check that I had locked the vehicle! When I entered the store for the returns the young lady who assisted me was AWESOME! She was very patient with me and my multiple receipts. We laughed and had "Fun"! YES, We had FUN!

              Watch out for Meagan. She will care about closing garden self checkouts well before closing time and make you go to the other side of the store even though you parked closer to garden with a cart full of mulch and dirt.

                I go a bit out of my way to shop at the Aspen Hill branch of Home Depot because they offer a good selection of houseplants, take good care of the plants, and also have a remarkable selection of pots.

                            Don’t buy at that store…they don’t accept returns, or if they do, they make it really hard. The manager Monique is terrible, especially her customer service. Worst manager ever!

                              There is an older lady near the painting area , I believe her name was Sylivia … her customer serivce was the absolute worse I ever experienced. I asked her a question about a product that says I can order online and or pick up at this location… and while walking around looking for someone to ask for help I found her sitting with her shoes off and feet on the floor and I simply said “ excuse me can you help me please “ she did a deep sigh almost like she was annoyed that I was asking for help .. so when I finally asked her what I needed to she gave me attitude and said “ we don’t carry that but you can keep looking if you like “

                                New policy for re-shaking paint is a dud
                                I previously bought paint and had it tinted at this Home Depot and after it sat in my basement for a few months I wanted to have it reshaken. Brought it into the store and the paint associate refused to do it telling me that this was now store policy. The paint was clearly purchased from Home Depot and it just seems like an excuse for them to get you to purchase new paint when you don't need new paint.

                                  During my most recent experience. It is definitely one of the most concerning and worst experiences I have ever had, but I will try to include the good, as well. On Tuesday, I rented an air scrubber. The closest one available was about a 45 minute drive with traffic each way. When I got to the store, the people were friendly. They got me the air scrubber and they also helped me take it out to my car and I returned home. After arriving home and completely sealing my workspace so I could create a negative pressure environment, I turned on the machine and started to work and I realized the machine did not have any of the pre-filters and was filtering directly into the HEPA filter instead of the two pre-filters that should have been included. I had taken that day off work to set up that room. At that point, I called the Aspen Hill Home Depot and they told me I could come back to the store to pick up the filters and they would refund my travel time. I was hoping I would be able to get the filters at the Gaithersburg store or another closer store to avoid the 1.5 hour commute to Aspen Hill. They told me that I could call around to other stores and if I explained what happened, they should be able to get me another filter. I called the Gaithersburg store two times. I waited on hold the first time for 5 minutes. I called a second time and waited on hold for 10 minutes and gave up and called customer care at the main office. When I called the customer care person, she was very friendly, very understanding, and I felt like she was working to find a resolution. We finally decided that I would be happy if I took the machine back to the store and they replaced it with a new machine because I had been running all my mold directly into the HEPA filter and I would need to run it for at least a couple of hours before I was comfortable taking it back to the store to ensure the safety of my family and home. She also gave me a $50 gift card for the materials that were damaged by setting up the room (duct tape, body suit, aluminum vent that was set up). Upon arriving at the store, I expected this would be an easy transaction—I would give them my machine and receive a new one with the filters. I explained to the person what had happened and that I had talked to customer care was told if I brought the machine in, you would give me a new one with new filters. He told me he can’t do that and if I want to change the filter, I would need to do it myself or he would charge me and it is expensive. I questioned that and was frustrated, but he said he can’t do it and he can’t change the machine and handed me a wrench. I was not handed gloves; I was not handed a respirator; I was not handed a power tool to make the job easier… I disassembled the machine that I had brought in. I disassembled another machine with a cleaner, but still dirty HEPA filter, and I swapped the two filters on the floor in front of the counter. The filter that I exchanged had heavy mold and I touched it with my bare hands and the other one that I swapped as far as I know could have had asbestos or any other toxin on it. I also had to remove that with my bare hands without a respirator, which I have at home and would have worn because of my asthma. Out of the four machines they had, all of them had dirty filters. I don’t know what the process is to clean them after each rental, but having the customer change the filter at the store is completely inexcusable, especially when it was the store’s fault to begin with that the pre-filters were not included. After re-assembling both machines, I walked directly to the front to a cashier and asked to speak to the store manager. At that point, one of the associates came over, and I asked, “are you the manager?” and he confirmed that he was and I told him exactly what had happened. He seemed shocked and decided he was going to bring over the employee that made me do all of that and have him confront me about it. From any customer service standpoint, that is unbelievable. The employee kept saying “sir, you’re good, you’re good; you have everything, you’re good.” I told him, “Excuse me, sir, I am talking to the manager.” The employee huffed and said, “he’s not a manager.” I looked at the other employee and said, “you’re not the manager? I want to speak to the manager, now.” At that point, they sent the assistant manager over. I explained to her everything that happened and she apologized. She said that the employee that was at the tool rental section was the newest employee and he was working by himself, which did not make sense to me. Why would you put your newest employee by himself when there are a lot of people there and there must have been at least 20 people at the front of the store. She took a picture of the $350 rental unit and said she would make sure everyone was trained on it so no one else would have this experience. This was a very unsatisfactory conclusion to a terrible customer experience involving inconsideration, lying, and unresponsiveness, and it also put my health and my family’s health at risk. I would like to speak to an appropriate representative at headquarters about this issue to find some resolution. Home Depot is my go-to home improvement store, and I do most of my home projects myself. I would hate for this experience to make it impossible for me to shop at Home Depot or recommend that anyone else do so, either.

Then when I went to customer service to return the balance, I was basically accused of trying to return mulch that I had already taken. I, personally had to walk back to garden center, get their person to walk with me to mulch area to confirm i had not picked up the mulch, then walk that person back to customer service to confirm that I wasn't attempting to steal mulch I bought the rest of my mulch elsewhere.
