Have been using this product for 40 years....great stain that lasts.

Easy to apply. Prep the wood and allow to dry first. Have had great durability with this product in the past.

I love this product! It is far superior to Thompson's Waterseal. Unlike water-based wood treatments, the Wolman F&P flows on smoothly, really soaks into the wood, and does not dry while you are still trying to brush it on. The "Natural" finish option does have some reddish color in it, so it will alter the color of your wood to some degree, but it looks beautiful on my redwood fencing. It does a great job of repelling water and doesn't require retreatment for 3 years or more (depending on sun exposure). To give you an idea how much I value this product, my state does not allow sale of it within its borders, so I drove to a neighboring state to buy 4 gallons. So glad I went to the effort. NOTE: Wolman F&P says it is suitable for water cleanup of application equipment (brushes, rollers, etc.). This is true, but it requires a lot of soap and elbow grease to do it. In a way, that is an indication of its water repellancy.

The stain covered more area than I had expected. Water is still beading up on the wood, so the stain is doing a good job keeping the water from soaking in.

I've used a variety of products on my deck. While it has been just a short period time, the product is excellent. Easy to apply provided that your preparation is done thoroughly. As with all outdoor projects, there is usually a short learning curve. In my opinion, you get what you deserve based upon the time and care you invest.

This is a great sealer!! Too bad I gotta pick it up in Reno because they won't sell it in California. However, this sealer comes from Germany, where they excel at most things and their products are almost always Superior to anything else on the market. And I would know! I lived there for a decade and became a Master Tile Setter. You won't be sorry with this sealer!! It's fantastic!!

Very good product, and goes as smooth and easy as Ready Seal on cleaned dry Cedar. It has a very long dry time with an oily film that lasts over a weeks. Ready Seal dried with 3 hours. F&p may have the advantage of better wood penetration because of the long dry time. If you have an indoor project F&p will stink to high heaven for 2 weeks.

I have been using this product for years. It has proven to last long and protect. Let the wood draw it in.

This is the perfect stain!!!

This is the only stain I could find that lasts 3 years. Everybody else is one or two. That third year is great. Easy to use but takes 48 hours to dry in the hot hot weather. Apply within the temp guidelines (50-80 degrees). I use a 6 inch roller with 3/4 nap dipped right into the can. I use a brush for those hard to reach areas. Works great.
