I ordered this product online in October 2018 and it works fine except I was extremely dissappointed that there is NO LIGHT in the freezer. I re-read the product description and it appeared to me that a light should be in the freezer. I called the manufacturer and they said it did not have a light. I called Home Depot and asked for it to be returned as all freezers need a light, as a basic necessity. I was told they would not take it back b/c the description was clear. I read the description back to the call center manager where it said the 'food was well lit'. Asked her if the freezer holds food? Anyway, she called the manager of the store that got credit for my purchase and he refused to let me return it. So I have a fridge that works well enough but I can't see anything in the freezer especially at night! Not happy at all and would not recommend the product simply b/c of a lack of proper lighting in the freezer. Looks like something you can live with? Wait till it's dark outside...

Great basic fridge especially on sale. Only problem is they manufacture it with the door protective film UNDER the trim so you need to take the door apart or use a razor blade to remove it.

Bought this refrigerator a month ago, and after 2 weeks my vegetables/fruit in the crisper, and liquids were frozen in the refrigerator and the food in my freezer isn't frozen solid as I'd like it to be. I called Whirlpool and they made an appointment for it to get serviced last week...I'm still waiting for someone to come fix this appliance. Hoping I can return it to Home Depot and get a new fridge. I don't want this one fixed. I want a new one. And I'm happy to pay a little more for one that will actually work and not ruin all my fruits and vegetables. This refrigerator has cost me by making me throw away food that has been destroyed by it.

Since it is located in the "man cave" I can't help but notice how much food and beverage it stores. This fridge hums right along...although the sound level is, surprisingly, a bit up...however it is not irritatingly bad. I would definitely recommend this particular model to my friends and family based on the quality of product...customer support...and price per cubic foot of space. I feel this is truly a great purchase...

Some things in the back freeze and items in the front don't seem cold enough. Freezer door storage area a joke. Things drop threw all the time. I haven't really figured out what that door storage area was designed for, super large cans of something that you freeze? Installation horrible or design I don't know, freezer door on crooked, looks horrible. Kept this since last fridge went out before thanksgiving, but will get rid of this asap. Never buy again.

I bought my frig a little more than a month ago. I love it so far.

This refrigerator is perfect for a one or two person household. The freezer contains a lot of area. The wide shelves of the bottom hold a lot of food. A feature that caused me to purchase this item is a shelf on the lower door. It holds a gallon of water/milk for easy quick access. However, the shelf on the upper door of the freezer has too much space between the bottom part and the rack causing frozen vegetable bags to slip right through (an obvious design flaw). The temperature keeps food fresh and cold.

Hole under freezer door with Vaseline like ooze leaking out. Was told by Whirpool over the phone that it's supposed to be there and does not have a "cap" or other covering. No Freezer light, protective plastic covering on doors jammed into seams and almost impossible to remove. Many spots still show plastic in the seams. So much for the plastic covering when my black finished door has splash and drip marks ETCHED INTO THE METAL. They show up in the sunlight and cannot be cleaned off they are permanent. Must have been splashed by something damaging to the finish during production. I would attach a photo of that too but it won't show up in a photo due to the highly reflective finish. It works and keeps food cold for now. No more whirlpool when this one goes.

I love the deep door storage bins and the easy gliding vegetable & fruit drawers. What I dislike about my new refrigerator is its door clearance. The door isn't situated up far enough above the floor to clear my feet. Within the 1st week everyone in my family had cuts on the tops of our feet. We have to make an effort to remember to step out of the way of the door. We didn't have this problem with our old Whirlpool refrigerator.

Great refrigerator, at a fantastic price. The door shelves are deep and high to secure everything, and the glass crisper reminds you of all the veggies you have. But I do wish the door shelves were a little more adjustable... It's missing a couple more position options to raise the top shelf one more slot or lower the bottom shelf one more slot. The bottom shelf is too difficult to reach with the deep shelf above, and I can't lower the middle shelf.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freezer compartment makes odd noises. Also, there are two "hanger" type projections on the inside left of the freezer which no one at Whirlpool can tell me what they are for.

Everything good except delivery folks said they weren't authorized to take the old refrigerator out the front door (only three steps down to grass. Home Depot said they would do that. The delivery guys did it anyway - thanks.

Bought Model WRT519SZDB in December 2018. Maintained coils, stored back of fridge away from wall, etc. Fast forward to March 2024. Freezer stopped working. Had appliance repairperson out and was advised the fix will be $1200 as it is a sealed system issue and leaking freon. They recommended buying a new refrigerator. I expected better from Whirlpool. Time to get a new refrigerator....it's not going to be a Whirlpool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Because of the way my 1950's kitchen is designed I needed this size size to fill a limited space. The new Whirlpool fits perfectly as a replacement for my 22 year old one. I see only three things that would have caused me to make a different choice. The most obvious is that it has no freezer light. I now keep a headlamp next to the refrigerator to find things hidden in the back. 2nd: I find the push button 4 light temperature adjustment less useful than the 2 sliders in my old one. 3rd: the various plastic storage bins are a thin plastic that looks less durable than the bins in my previous one.

Fridge is dead after 2.5 years - Freon leak. Do not recommend.

We purchased this refrigerator in May of 2023 hoping that because it is a simple model it would last longer than our last side-by-side. It is now March 2024 and it stopped cooling. The compressor died. We lost almost all of the food inside and have heard nothing back from Whirlpool.

Turning the temp in the refrigerator all the way to the coolest setting causes the freezer to warm and opening the vent in the freezer creates too warm a condition in the refrigerator. I have both set to there maximum cooling and the temperatures are barely in the safe zone.

We like it very well an it looks good an it has plenty of room in the refrigerator. This is r second unit we have a stand up freezer. Like the units very well.

The first was to address an issue that the refrigerator part would not get cold enough to store food - issue was resolved as it was the door seal. Next two times was because the unit was making wierd noises. the second time the technician informed me I was too sensitive to noise and that new models of refrigerators make differnt noises then the older one. He added more insulation but the noise is still there. On a good note it keeps items at the appropriate temperatures now
