Fair Solution at Best
My purchase and receipt of this product from Home Depot went flawlessly... I received the item quickly, and it was exactly what I expected. Note that this item is sold elsewhere without the brass pins and/or as a popup stopper without the grate, so keep that in mind when you see similar items priced differently at other retailers. My reasoning for the purchase was simple: The original "pop-up" stopper was missing on my tub, and I attempted to replace it but was unable to find anything that fit the screw hole in the center of the drain's "cross." Rather than replace the drain, I opted for this device... And meanwhile snaked the drain to improve performance. A LOT of hair was in the drain, which explained why the tub tended to drain slowly, even with the stopper missing. I was also very attracted to a new screen with a grate (screen) on it to help prevent hair from going into the drain in the future. The product was very pretty in its package and in the hand... But thinner and lighter than I had expected. Disappointingly, neither brass pin fit my drain, and I was forced to use the secondary installation option of using the supplied glue to install. The only thing that held the stopper up in it's raised position was an internal semcircle "spring ring" that would wear out pretty quickly in it's sleeve. There was no "twist quarter turn to prevent the stopper from falling" feature on this product, and within a few days of installation it was beginning to sag. If I bumped it with my foot (I installed it in a combination shower/tub), the stopper would fall and back up the shower. It is not a spectacular design. What's worse was that the grate - a feature I looked forward to to prevent hair entry - had REALLY small holes in it. This caused a slow drain all by itself. It might not be a problem for showers that have shower heads with intact water savers that use only 2.5 GPM, but I have removed my water savers (thank you Speakman shower heads) and my shower uses more like 3.5 GPM or 4.0 GPM. The shower is wonderful - but this device couldn't keep up, and I found myself standing in a quarter-full tub every time I showered. ...Which is why I snaked the drain in the first place - to improve drain performance. In the long run, I ended up removing this device, which was a complicated affair given that it was GLUED in. I was lucky to not damage the tub, and it destroyed this device. It was a waste of $30 plus shipping. After removing this, I purchased a tool to remove my drain completely and replace it with an entirely new drain. That tool broke the "cross" out of the old drain, and I had to buy ANOTHER tool to remove the old drain without the cross. It turned into a real project. I was finally able to remove the old drain - a remarkably easy job once I had the right tool to do so - and replace it THE RIGHT WAY with an entirely new drain. People say it can be done in 5 minutes, but I took my time and cleaned everything out and sealed it right with plumber's putty and it took me 30-45 minutes... Time well-spent, frankly. My tub drain now looks and functions beautifully. I replaced this drain with an old-fashioned grate drain, normally used with a "flip-lever" internal stopper, even though I don't have a flip-lever in this tub. Instead, I plan to use a 6" disk rubber stopper when the unit pulls tub duty - which is rarely - since I now see the value in keeping this system simple and NOT using "modern" pop-up stoppers that have no way to prevent hair entry into the drain. My recommendation? Don't buy this product and take what APPEARS to be the easy way out. It's pretty, but rather cheap and functionally worthless, especially if you have the water saver removed from your shower head. Instead, remove and replace the entire drain with your favorite drain type. Mine was the "grate" style to prevent the same problems from happening again, but you could put whatever you wanted in there and have the problem truly solved.

Superb!!!
I am a 57 year old female who installed all of my tub/shower fixtures, but won't tackle the tub drain. This product allowed me to screw in the flange in 2 seconds. If you have a standard drain this will fit perfedtly. If not it comes with other options. Not only does it fit well, it also matches my Moen Kingsley bathroom fixtures. I am hoping that one becomes available for the sink also. Thanks Watco for making my life a little easier. My fixtures are in Polished Chrome.

Great idea. Easy to install.
The tub drain always leaked. I removed the screw and strainer from the tub, and replaced them with this push pull drain stopper. Was easy to do, and the tub drain no longer leaks. The chrome finish is nice looking, too.

Great! Solved my problem!
Had a zinc drain that was disintegrating in a cast iron bathtub. The prior residents had epoxied the drain fitting into the drain shoe, making it impossible to remove without destroying the drain shoe. The drain shoe is a configuration that is no longer sold. This product solved my problem and does exactly what it says it will do. No fuss, no problem. Great product!
