My tub stopper was working until I had new hardware installed. I bought this product but it did not help at all

Did exactly as it was advertised to do. Inserted one of the pins in the existing drain, popped on the stopper, and done. Five minutes. And the strainer does a good job of trapping hair.

Everything they say about it is true. Easy to install. I couldn’t believe it was that easy when I finally got around to it. Stops the hair, etc from going down the drain. Looks a lot better than the rusty thing I had there. The thing is, my wife and I are both losing our hair due to medical problems. This thing catches every little piece of hair and everything else. Which is to say it works great but bad for us. It has to be cleaned every time we use it. Meaning the hair has to be removed etc., or the water won’t go down the drain. In cleaning it every time the rubber stopper underneath is now loose as I can’t get my fingers in there without hitting it to clean the drain. This is only a situation with us because of our constant hair loss. Cleaning the drain every time someone takes a bath or shower is not what we’re used to. We can’t leave the water standing in the tub so it has to be done. When showering after washing the hair, the tub starts to fill up rather than go down the drain as the hair has clogged this thing up already. Like I said it works great. But if you’re going bald like we are you might want to reconsider. But like I said, everything they say about it is true and it works great!

Fit perfectly over our old tub drain.

Very easy to install, works well, no plumber needed, and no worries of leaks. I threw away the screw extensions and used the other approach they suggested. I silicone glued it in waited 24 hours nothing to it.

This product is an answer to my problem. I am glad I researched the NuFit stopper. I read the reviews so when I bought it I would know what to expect. I bought the one with pins. I am a middle aged woman and it was easy to install. Only 2 minutes. The reason for 4 stars is the issue of water not going out I unscrewed the pin and wiped the screen off, screwed it back in. Problem solved! So after each bath/shower, wipe the screen off the clog goes away. The reason for bathing is to remove the stuff that doesn't belong on you: Dirt, Particles, hair, cloth/ fiber and other things are included. The screen is there to catch that stuff and eliminate clogging between the drain and drainfield. It does it's job very well. I won't complain because my problem is solved without me having to call a plumber. I'd say it's a great exchange. Thank you Watco!

This is an excellent solution to replacing tub drain stoppers without having to remove the whole drain assembly. Removed old stopper unit and inserted Nufit unit with no problems. I did add a small amount of plumbers putty just to insure a seal. Hair strainer is a definite plus.

This product was awesome! Simple to install and works great. Highly recommend this product to anyone that needs to replace their bathtub drain.

Looks nice. Does make pulling the daughter’s long blond hair out of it a bit tricky.

Very pleased with product. Installation really simple, no mess , no cleanup needed.Just cleaned the old grid, let it dry for 24 hours, then inserted this one and allowed it to dry 24 hours before using. A good scrubbing of tub area and new caulking and this stopper made a 30 year old bathtub look brand new! Is a bit expensive though but since only doing it once in 30 years, was worth spending money and doing the job myself rather than paying a plumber $135.00 ( the going rate in my area) to remove old grid and install new one!

The drain unit is great, except, none of the threaded adapters for cap, work in my bathtub drain. Threads are fine thread, (7/8)? Went to Home Depot and tried to fine an adapter the size I need. None available. Going to a Plumber supply and see if I can find anything. Thank You, Jack

This is an excellent stopper. It fit right into the drain and was installed in less than a minute. It was helpful to have the 2 pins, as one pin fit correctly. I had previously ordered a bathtub stopper that came without the strainer, so the strainer that I had in the tub would not work with the stopper. I reordered this item with the strainer and it fit without any issues. I would recommend that you get this kit and be careful not to get the kit without the strainer. Unless you've ordered this before and only need the stopper.

I had high hopes that this device would end my search for a solution to my problem of water draining prematurely from our tub. It didn't. From the beginning water leaked around both the base and the push down pull up portion. Sorry, but I had to return it to my local Home Depot store.

Very surprised that it worked exactly like the TV commercial so far so good its been 3 weeks so only time will tell. Stays secure with no leaks when the tub is filled with water.

I purchased this for a custom-build tub-shower with Mexican Talavera (read, uneven) tiles. I somehow lost the original stopper, so needed a replacement. Instructions tell you to remove the existing flange, but I couldn't do so, as it is a much larger diameter, and removing it would leave a gap. So, I simply used plumber's putty to stick it to the existing flange, figuring that if it didn't work, I'd just pull it off and purchase something else. It worked!! It looks beautiful! The stopper works beautifully (bathtub holds water), is very nice quality, and the strainer looks great and catches the hair I shed beautifully. The two brass adapters? Of absolutely no use in my situation, though I tried. But as I said, this is a custom-built unit, and the threads for a stopper unit are much further down the drain than these will go. Doesn't matter. It all works beautifully, and I wish I'd done this prior to selling our home, so I could have had longer use of it. P.S. I know there are plenty of reviewers who get paid to write glowing reviews. I'm not one of them, just a handywoman who's had plenty of long learning curves and made many bad purchases. For me, this one's a winner.

My tub had an old drain that I was afraid to remove because of what might break off. This worked very well to screw into the plate without having to replace the entire drain assembly. It comes with those two golden adapters / pins to be able to fit most drain sizes. We can finally enjoy not just a shower but a bath too!

Works well perfect fit to old plumbing brass drain. Quality seems descent. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because the drain strainer is a off color from the chrome stopper not sure why but it doesn't bother me being used for a rental.

This was definitely an easy install. I had heard bad things about the adhesive so I wanted one that would screw into the washer in the crossbars of the drain. This was the only kit I could find with a small enough adapter for the small washer in my crossbar. It works great, retains water when needed, opens and closes easily. Only issue I have had is that is clogs really easily during showers. Maybe the holes are smaller than my previous drain cover? I find myself having to clear out hair pretty much daily or the water backs up.

Super easy to install with the screw in pin. Nice chrome finish. Strainer needs daily cleaning, as it really does its job on hair.
