I'm not sure if the current product is the same as it was " back in the day, " but it is still a nice finishing product. the results are always top notch, and repairs are never a problem.

I followed the directions and the wood still smells 2 weeks later, it has been in the garage and in the backyard, and it still smells. Definitely gonna use something else next time. I never leave reviews either, but I just hope one person can get some help from my issues. Disappointed.

Great finish and easy to use

This stuff really works! Makes wood cabinets look like new...amazing.

This oil gave our totally dried out, no finish wood luster and shine. I have used it before about ten and have been happy with the product and the longevity of the result. However, this time, the smell of the oil has been overwhelming and toxic smelling and has not gone away even after two weeks, although it is less toxic than the first week. The last week, I have had a fan running continuously and an open window in the room for the last week in the hopes of dispelling the smell with very little success. Today, I mopped the floor, but it barely reduced the remaining odor. Unfortunately, this experience has turned me off to ever using this product again.

Use it all time. Wish the store would stock more colors.

Works well to set a base stain for poplar and enhance the natural colors of the wood.

Best stuff around for staining and protecting wood surface. I put that stuff on everything.

First time using oil on oak. Looks good pulled the wood grain out and made it easy for a hand rub finish.

Good penetration in the wood, brings out texture and seals.

Very nice and easy to apply

I'm using the Danish oil to finish the barrels of wooden writing pens I turn on the lathe. The results are quite good, but just not spectacular enough to rate all five stars. Once the stained barrels are polished on the buffing wheels, they are quite satisfactory enough for me to put the pens up for sale. As far as the can being hard to open as many apparently have complained, this is nothing that a pair of channel locks or slip joint pliers can't remedy, and hardly rate giving the product only one star because someone isn't savvy enough to figure this out.

Off-gasses a long time. Apparently since Rustoleum bought out Watco, they cheapened the formula using more solvents. Toxic fumes make it dangerous to place a finished item indoors for many weeks.

This is an excellent food-safe finish for wood. It brings out the wood grains beautifully.

Our wood kitchen cabinets were looking like dry skin, we used the Danish Oil and it brought them to life, like new. It was quite easy, we took the handles off, clean and just wipe the oil on with a rag. It turned out great. This oil does not dry out in a short time. We used it once before on different cabinets, and it’s lasted for a couple years. Really good stuff!

Nice finish when dry. It is easy to apply and fills in small spaces with a little sanding. The only reason for not 5 stars is that it takes several days for the odor of the product to dissipate.

A finish by choice but found recently a shortage and hard to get. I ordered this. I was more expensive but I needed to finish a project.

First time using Danish oils. I used this on a cabinet I built for my dust collection system and I plan to use it for a farmhouse pantry door I’m building.
