I did a section of my hard wood floors, followed directions to a T and after about 1 month the area is all scratched up . Not sure what to do to complete the room as I don’t want to spend the time with the process and then it doesn’t hold up. It is not as strong as they claim. I would try another product! Don’t purchase this one!

We applied 4 coats on newly sanded Red Oak Hardwood Floors. Sanded up to 120 grit and applied the finish. We were going for the natural look and feel so decided not to sand in-between coats. You get a rough feel but it feels great on my bear feet... The natural wood look great. Will def use again.

Beautiful low sheen finish when dry. Very easy to apply and dries quickly leaving no brush or roller marks. We have not had time to determine or test the durability but so far we are pleased.

Excellent mate finish for hardwood floors

Low sheen is great. I was disappointed, however, with the finish color. I had hoped, based on other reviews, that the crystal clear water-based finish would preserve the almost white color of the oak floors. It did not. It darkened them slightly to a light yellow. Bummed.

We used this on knotty pine ceiling so there was no shinny areas. The matte finish worked terrific. Two coats was a must. It was 700 sq ft so the two gallons worked great according to 500 sq ft per gallon. I would suggest that Varathane start carrying Gallons of this in stores. Two weeks to get it!

Easy to use, looks great, there are just a few areas where I applied it too heavily or left drips too long and it shows.

Perfect matte finish- loved this product- used Profinisher and Bona and wasn’t happy- I highly recommend this product and will use it for all my home flips

Easy to apply, beautiful no shine finish. Will use it any time a no shine finish is wanted. And the best part, easy clean up and NO ODOR.

Warning: If you live like a normal human don't buy this! So - We get the floor all done, We let it cure for a week...Yes it's beautiful, love the matte finish, (and it does not look the same as the satin) but It's weak!! My dog got a little rambunctious on it, for one second and left a big long scratch! Isn't this why we finish our floors? To protect it from such things. Never had a problem like this with other finishes. Now we don't want to use it in other rooms. Whatta waste of money. We are SO disappointed!!

My husband applied 4 coats to 500 square feet of pine. It dried really fast in between coats and looks perfect. He maybe about 1/3 of second can left.

Works well, dries pretty quickly. The finish looks good. The claimed coverage of 400 sq feet per gallon seems like its maybe a bit off, I used 4 gallons to do a 760 sq feet but it could be just my taste though it looks better with 3 pretty heavy coats in my opinion.

I like how it doesn’t darken wood to much

This product is very forgiving and even if you think you screwed up...you will, most likely, be fine. The product is easy to work with yet very durable. We couldn't be happier so far and we will see how it holds up over time. So far...easily 5 stars.

Great product, great coverage.. applied to a painted basement tile floor.. 3 coats applied, one to follow.Looks great!

Excellent product. Sealed my raw cork floors perfectly, with a very minor sheen after 4 coats. Applied with a low nap adhesive roller. Easy clean-up.

I used the finish on a cherry wood table. It is beautiful. This finish is easy to use and the water cleanup is very easy. I gave it 4 stars rather than five because it’s ridiculous that they only sell it in 2 gallon lots.

It is easy to use. Drys quickly and evenly, no brush marks. It stays matte and is close to flat poly as I have found. Has only been a week, but seems to be hard protective coating for chalk paint.

The only issue is that I had to buy two gallons and I only needed one. Please stop selling these in pairs.

Product works perfectly. I used it on our wood stairs that we refinished. It's a shame that I only needed 1 pint, but had to purchase 2 Gallons. I'm surprised that this material is not sold in stores locally since the matte finish has become quit popular.
