Great updated, replacement skylight!

Great product. We love the auto airing of the house. they have been open more than the old manual operated ones that we in for 33 years.

Worked great! Skylight was packaged well and fit perfectly. Removed the old one and installed the new in less than an hour. No leaks...and we've had a lot of rain since we installed it a month ago.

The sky light fit the opening perfectly and is of much better quality than what I replaced.

I had these Velux solar skylights installed with my new roof last spring. I just press a button on my remote and up they go. The cool part is if it starts to rain, they close automatically! You can't beat that feature!

The first one we ordered arrived bent and damaged even though the shipping box basically looked okay. Customer service was pleasant, authorized the return, and helped us place a second order which was delivered in good condition and very quickly. The skylight has an integrated rubber gasket where it contacts the curb framing. We're near an airport and it's much quieter than the old double-pane one from 1987 that we replaced. Now I'm looking forward to the reduced solar heat gain in the summer.

My box was missing the remote control to open the skylight. Home Depot does not have the item on stock and I have no idea when I will be able to open the skylight.

First skylight delivered was damaged, returned. Second one had some damage but was usable, it on the roof and cannot be seen. Definitely needs better packing materials.

cracks on seams, bent metal, really bad quality

We were excited to install this skylight, but our motor isn't working! Technical support wants to speak to our contractor directly. He has other things he's doing to just wait on them all day. Why can't just send us step-by-step instructions on how to install the motor? The person I spoke to said we need to coordinate the remote. I read the directions they sent us and there's no mention of this. Horrible customer support... unclear directions.

Works as expected. Great price and easy install. Just a note for some. You need to pop out the screen to get to the hardware. Best not to do it while on a roof like I did!

Our former manual Velux skylight screens could be removed from the interior, as needed for cleaning. Recently had several replaced with Velux Solar Skylights and somehow, the way they are installed is not enough allowance remove the screens from below. Roofer says they can be removed from the top, ie from the roof! SO one has to climb a ladder to the roof in order to remove/clean Vellux Solar skylight screens? Please confirm ASAP if this is correct.

Velux are the only skylights I like to install. In over 25 years and a dozen installs, never had a leak. I always get the appropriate trim out kit . Highly recommend, if you are installing a skylight, go with Velux
